Throughout this pandemic, one of the most important things people need to do is to stay connected. They need to stay connected while they work, stay connected with friends and family and to stay connected with normality. This is also really important for you as a business to not only provide this for your customers but to stay connected too. Think of your business as a person, and if it doesn’t stay connected with people then it’s going to become very sad and lonely and when we come out of this pandemic your business will not be very healthy or in a good position to get back up and running. Your customers need you.

Your customers’ lives have changed massively, and it’s important that they know that you are there for them. Whether you are a restaurant and are now offering a delivery service or a hairdressing salon having to shut it’s doors yet again, show your customers that ‘we’re all in this together’ by having an online presence and keeping them updated. As mentioned, it is important to communicate in response to the crisis, and as well as reaching out to your customers, you should let your customers and clients know what you’re doing. For example, you should communicate what proactive measures you’re taking, whether its store closures or policy updates related to COVID-19. These messages do add value to customer relationships because they are informative. You can even just keep people updated on social media about how you are still working from home. Show the fun side of the business and just make sure that people know what services you can offer and how you can help them. Keep them informed every step of the way.  

 

Show How Your Brand Can Help

Your company adds value which is why it is successful, so if your products and services can help during a lockdown, then let people know. Can your company enhance people’s lives during quarantine? Or perhaps you can educate, entertain, or inspire people who are stuck at home all day? If your a restaurant and have had to close, could you post online cooking lessons? Or maybe helpful blog posts or funny videos with your staff?

Continue to show your customers that you are there and that you care, and with more time on your hands, it is the perfect time to look at your marketing and see where you can improve anyway. Marketing has never been so important, and as long as you keep the focus on helping people, your marketing can continue, it might just have to change a little.
