Are you planning a stag do? If you are, then that could be a lot of fun. It’s supposed to be one of the best parties that you’re ever going to experience, so the planning has got to be on point. One thing you can’t do with a stag is just wing it, because it’s not your average night out and you don’t want to get it wrong, or be wandering around aimlessly for hours on end. So, we’re going to help you.
Down below, we’re going to be taking a look at some of the things that you’re going to need to consider when planning the stag. Keep reading if you would like to find out more.
Location
First, you need to think about the location. Are you going to be having the stag locally, or are you going to be going abroad? To be honest, this will depend on the budget of the stag group, how much it’s going to cost to go abroad vs keep it local, and what activities you’re planning to do while you’re on this trip.
Look into a variety of locations and see what you think is going to work best for the group. Try to ask everyone what their budget is, and what they would be happy spending on going away, as you don’t want anyone to feel as though they have to pay more than they are comfortable, or more than they can afford just to be somewhere different.
Budget
Speaking of budget, it’s not just about where you go, there is much more that you need to pay for. Most stag weekends involve a lot of alcohol, so you’re going to need to set a budget for this as well. You can look into things like open bar deals to keep track of spending and avoid stressing all night, trying to work out how much you’re going to owe.
You can also just have everyone pay for their own if this is easier, or do a round each. But, then it’s still complicated to remember who has purchased what, who hasn’t, etc, especially the more that you drink.
Activities
The stag is not all about the night time, even though that’s the main event. Try to plan some other day time activities that you can do, ideally ones that are relevant to the groom himself. Maybe take a trip down memory lane of some of his favorite places? Or significant places in his life? Or, if you’re in a foreign country, try planning out activities that you think he will enjoy based on his interests.
Hopefully, you have found this article helpful, and now see some of the things that you should consider if you’re planning a fun stag do. The majority of people only get to have one of these in their lifetime, and as such you want to make it the best possible. Planning is your best friend, even though it’s tedious at times.
