Delivering excellent customer service is one way to connect with your customers, but to really stand out and strengthen that connection, you need to do more as a business. The consumer world is filled with businesses fighting for the attention of their customers, and a great way to win them over is to be authentic, trustworthy, and create stronger connections that can’t be broken. Here are several ways in which you can strengthen the connections you have with your customers.
Always put value above profits
Customers are becoming a lot more aware of the underhanded business tactics that can be used by companies sometimes, such as reducing the quality or amount of a product or service, purely to increase profits. This is a sure fast way to sever connections with any customers you have. Instead of figuring out what you can reduce or cut costs on to increase your profits, think about the end result, and what your customer will receive. Although this may not increase the profitability you gain per product, or service sale, it will strengthen the loyalty, brand awareness, and trust your customers have in you. This will also increase your profits in the long-term.
Make time for your customers outside of business parameters
Don’t just interact with your customers for the sole purpose of making a sale. Instead try to create a community of people who help each other, and find ways to connect with them without any hidden agendas. This could be in the form of creating an event where they get the chance to meet you and your business in person. This will give them the chance to get to know you, and what you stand for as a brand a little better. Your customers will see the real people behind your business, and you will start to create a more meaningful connection. A good way to do this is to create an event where people can come along, and spend some time with you and the people in your business. You can then incorporate fun elements that will get people involved and let their hair down, such as planning team-building activities, creating unique games, or hiring a Glambot to really make an impression. This way, people will be able to see who you really are.
Show your customers that you appreciate them
Appreciation goes a long way, and in reality, your business will only get as far as your customers will take you. If they don’t feel appreciated, or like you care about them, then there is a large chance that they will find another business that does. You can show your appreciation in ways such as sending out regular correspondences to thank your customers for their loyalty and custom or update them with changes that you are planning to implement due to their feedback. You could also run discounts, send out special offers, run incentives, and create competitions too.
Be consistent
Customers will feel safest and most trusting of your business if you can show them that you are consistent. If you can prove to them in a variety of ways that the products and services that you provide for them will stay the same in price, and quality over time, then this will greatly strengthen the connection and loyalty they have with you and your brand.
If you are looking for a way to strengthen the connection you have with your customers, then why not consider these pointers?
