Blueprints, Integrity, and the Next Step: Anmol Singh on Goals, Habits, and Honoring Your Word

David Pasqualone: Hey, Anmol . How are you today?

Anmol Singh: I’m doing great. Thanks for having me. How are you?

David Pasqualone: Man, I’m doing Remarkable, and I’m happy to have you here today, and so are our guests. I just told them a little bit about this episode and what to expect and what to be able to glean from it and grow, but right out of your mouth, right out of your heart.

If someone takes the time to spend with us today, whether they’re a first time listener or they’ve been with us for all seven years, what can they expect from this episode that they can take, learn from you and apply to their lives to be a better human?

Anmol Singh: Yeah, I think what they’re going to get out of it is a blueprint that’s going to help them achieve their goals.

Whether it’s a financial goal, whether it’s a goal that you had in your mind for your personal life, you just haven’t quite gotten there. So you’re going to discover what is holding you back, and more importantly, how to overcome it and how to actually achieve our goals and make progress towards that every day.

David Pasqualone: Beautiful. And we all need that, right? Even though we hit, it’s like missions in the military, you have a [00:01:00] mission, you complete it, then you come back, you get your next orders, and you complete that too. So we don’t want to be useless servants. We want to have worth and value and make the most of this life we’ve been given.

So ladies and gentlemen, we’re going to take a quick affiliate break and we’re going to come back

David Pasqualone: Ladies and gentlemen, not only do I love our community, not only do I love interacting with our guests, but I sincerely love our affiliates and sponsors. We won’t bring on an affiliate sponsor unless we personally use it and believe in it. And today I am bringing you two Remarkable offers. Number one is Console Vault, whether you have a truck, an SUV.

A Jeep or even some cars, they make secure in-vehicle storage safes that are inexpensive, practical, and kick butt. And when you use promo [00:02:00] code Remarkable, you get 10% or more off and sometimes free shipping too.

The second offer I want to tell you about is MyPillow. You know, I love MyPillow. I’ve used my pillows for years before they became an affiliate. I use them now and I’ll use them in the future. The pillows, the bedsheets, the blankets, the coach cushion. The bath towels, I mean the slippers. So many products at MyPillow did you know they have over 200 quality products@mypillow.com and when you use promo code Remarkable, you get 30 to 80% off all the products.

And we are one of two affiliates I’ve been told in the whole country where you get free shipping to.

So go to mypillow.com/ Remarkable shop to your heart’s content. You’re gonna get the best quality products out there. You are gonna [00:03:00] sleep better than ever before. So at this time, enjoy this Remarkable episode now and then when you’re done, go shop console vault.com and my pillow.com and write me and tell me how much you love the products. Enjoy.

David Pasqualone: All right. Anmol. You’ve told us that we are going to learn. About goals, and we’re going to learn about life, and we’re going to learn about setting that proper mindset. Before we get into the practical step-by-step of it, how did you get to this point in your life?

Tell us your story. You know, what was your origins? What happened to your life, that this became such a powerful motivation?

Yeah, I think, you know, I grew up in India. I was born in India, lived there till I was like 17 years old. And I always wanted, even as a child, like I knew, like I [00:04:00] wanted to be somebody, right?

And I think maybe it came from, you know, the fact that I wasn’t the most popular kid, or I wasn’t the most social kid. I was pretty much an introvert and I still am, you know, to a certain extent. So I think that made me want to drive, to figure out, okay, how do I get better? How do I improve my skills? How do I get not only better at my communication?

With people and businesses, but okay, how do I achieve my own goals? And you know, growing up I always wanted to be in America and I had like a vision board and I, all these things I was doing when I was like 17, 18, right? Most people don’t start until much later. So I had these vision boards off New York City, the Skylines, all of those things.

And eventually that was the life. Like I was pretty much in the exact same building that I had on my vision board that I was 18. And by 22, I finally made the move into that place. So I think I found that a lot of the goals can be achieved when you not only have that North star to begin with, which is where you’re going, but also what you just said when you’re opening of the podcast, which is in military, right?

People looking for their [00:05:00] orders. But then what happens with people in real life is they want all the list of the orders. Now they wanna know everything. They don’t want any uncertainty. Right, but how the life works is exactly like militaries. Hey, this is the order for now. Let’s complete this mission and then you’re going to get the next orders.

But in life, people want the whole list first. I wanna know what the next step looks like. What about this advanced step? They wanna know all the details and they’re not comfortable with CER uncertainty. And I think that’s step number one is getting comfortable with the uncertainty. Just know what the next step is, and you don’t have to know the whole game.

Yeah, I think that’s a biblically sound principle. And even if you don’t necessarily, we have listeners from all over the world in different backgrounds. If you haven’t trusted Christ and believe the Bible when on Mole and I are talking about military, what happens whether you’re in India, whether you’re in America, whether you’re in Italy, even Canada, if you question the authority in the military, how would that turn out?

Right?

Anmol Singh: Yeah,

David Pasqualone: yeah, yeah. They’re going to be like, I think,

Anmol Singh: Yeah, I think to add, add to that point, and that’s. [00:06:00] Probably why people fail. ’cause you know, in growing up your parents are telling you what to do and then you go to school, your teachers are telling you what to do. Then you go to college, your professors are telling you what to do.

Then you go get a job. Your boss, your supervisor, your manager is going to tell you what to do. But when you’re an entrepreneur, when you either stock market trader, whether you run your own online businesses or any businesses for that matter. Nobody’s going to tell you what to do. You have to tell yourself what the right thing to do is every single day.

And even just going back to the last point, like no matter how dark it is, right? The p let’s say you are walking at night, it’s dark. Well, the whole path is going to be not clear. You’re not going to be able to see the end end goal. You’re not going to be seeing the end of the path, but the next step is always clear.

Right. And that’s what I want people to notice is like no matter how dark it is, you’re not going to see the whole thing, but the next step you can take, that’s always going to be clear. And that’s how life works, is just focusing on the next step and not the whole big mountain that you’ve gotta climb.

David Pasqualone: Yeah, a a hundred percent agreed.

You know the how do you know if [00:07:00] at one bite at a time? And I think taking that step by step approach is the way to do things. So let me ask you this. How did you hear about vision boards? How did you hear about, you know, that positive mental attitude? Because all of our cultures are different. And again, whether you’re in India, the United States, whether you’re in Mexico, whether you’re in Sweden, we all have a different background.

Was this something that your family practice, was this something you read about or heard about?

Anmol Singh: You know? Yeah. Going back to my last point that I was making, you know, like growing up, I wasn’t the most popular. I was very, you know, antisocial, kind of like a, you know, just like a very closed off introvert that would just spend most of his time on his Xbox or in my room, right?

So as a child I knew that, okay, that’s not like if I want to get all these goals, like that’s not the right way to go about it. So there’s something I need to know. And, you know, not really having you know, my parents all the time with me when I was young, I had to. Self teach myself a lot of things, right?

And as I mentioned, being that typical kid who grew up in the age of [00:08:00] internet and computers I spent a lot of time on them and I started looking up like, okay, how do I improve this? How do I get better at my social skills? How do I make more friends? Like, you know, you, all the things that. I think most teenagers at some point look at and I was just learning all these things very early on.

You know, I was reading books on like psychology and mindset and, you know, visualizing and all of this stuff like very early on in 16, 17, 18 years old. So I think it came from a place of me wanting to improve myself and me wanting to get better and me wanting to learn, okay, how can I be my optimal version in the world?

And that put me on this path of like just self discovery and personal discovery, even as a kid.

David Pasqualone: And when this was going on, did your family see it? Were they supportive? Were they like, cut that out? What was your surrounding group like?

Anmol Singh: So I think the reason I picked up a lot of these things was because they weren’t really that much, you know, that much around.

I was the third child in the family and my father was, you know, a businessman. He wouldn’t, I probably saw him, I don’t know, maybe a few days out of the whole [00:09:00] year. Right, because he was always traveling for work, so he wasn’t, so that’s why I had to self-teach myself a lot of things. So there’s not a lot of guidance, but I was able to, you know, discernment, like able to look at information and see what helps, what not helps, but I take everything as feedback.

So like a lot of people, when you teach them something new, what do they do? They dismiss it. Oh, it’s not going to work for me. Oh, I don’t believe in that. Right? They’re going to start doubting themselves already. For me, I just look at everything as a t-shirt. Hey, let me try it on. Maybe it fits. Right. If it doesn’t fit, I’ll discard it.

Oh, I tried. It didn’t work. At least I tried it. Right. But I always give things a go and that’s I think why I attribute a lot of my success to, is I don’t just completely dismiss things when I hear about ’em. I actually try it first. I apply it in my life and if I see if, if it works for me. So just look at everything as a t-shirt, try it on, see if it fits.

Some t-shirts are going to try on, they’re going to fit, they’re going to become part of your habit that you do every day. Right? Like journaling has become a habit for me. I do it every day, but there are certain things that I tried. That don’t work for me every day, right? So then I just discard those tools. [00:10:00] So learning how to discern and take the right tools that work for you and improve your life, rather than just dismissing things completely.

David Pasqualone: Yeah, and I think that’s a key that people miss. They hear all these rah rah motivational speakers. They pay all the money for books and training classes and seminars and getaways, and some of those have value, but I’d say 90% of ’em are just people scamming for money, in my opinion. And they’re repeating and regurgitating the same information.

But what people need to remember is for un mole, for me, for you, not everything. Works for us, that works for somebody else, like Anon was saying. So you know, somebody could say, get up first thing in the morning and you know, run 15 miles and do this and do that, and by 7:00 AM you’re like a marine. You got more done than most people get all day.

That is true and there’s huge premise to that. But there’s some people who are night people and while everybody’s sleeping, they’re going to kill it. [00:11:00] So I agree with what you’re saying, that you go to chest and try and see what works for you. But I don’t think there’s a cookie cutter solution for everybody.

Anmol Singh: A hundred percent. I agree with that there. There’s tools that work, right, but they’re not going to work for you necessarily. Like when people tell me all the time, I’m, well, you should wake up, you know, five in the morning, go for like a fasted run. I’m like knowing myself, probably not going to happen. Right? So then I discarded that tool and then some people are like, oh, coal plunge.

Every morning. I’m like, I love coal plunges. I do. But I’m probably not going to do it every day. Right? So it’s like you find what works for you. The key is just to not be dismissive of everything entirely, right? And just to be able to be in that mindset that you’re not emotionally tied to this way or that way.

You just try everything and naturally, you’ll start discovering what works for you and what doesn’t, because you’re absolutely right. A lot of personal development industry you know, is, is, is created as a loop where people use it as a crutch now, right? A lot of people, they go to a personal development thing, maybe they get motivated, they get that [00:12:00] inspiration and they go out and achieve it and make it happen.

But then there’s a big chunk of people. They keep going back to the same workshops over and over again the next, at the next seminar, next week that are next event the next week. And now, because that has become their crutch, which makes them think that I’m actually improving myself, I’m taking action. But you’re not, you’re just attending stuff, right?

The results actually come in when you apply those things into your real life and they improve. And yes, a lot of people do regurgitate. ’cause I mean, there, I don’t think there’s any such thing as new information. I think everything in terms of psychology and the mindset has already been said. Right. A lot of what people are saying now, they got from Tony Robbins.

Tony Robbins got from Jim Rohn. Right. Jim Rohn probably got it from Zig Ziglar or then they Zig Ziglar Got it from the Bible. Right. And then you keep going back even, you can go back as far as beyond the Bible go to her hermeticism, her, her mistress, mastress, his books. A lot of the Bible stuff even comes from there too.

So it’s like there’s no such thing as, there’s universal information. Right. And then people have their ways of interpreting it [00:13:00] and giving it. And some, I think the, the benefit of that is. Someone might say the exact same thing in a different way and it hits home. Like for me, if somebody comes in like, let’s jump up and down, motivate ourselves, rah rah, it’s not going to work.

But now, if like a military instructor says, amo, come on, you need to get up there. You need to do this. Now that works for me. Right? So it’s like everybody gotta find. What works for them and it’s going to be different at different points of your life. Sometimes I just need somebody to talk and be nice. Hey man, you’re doing a great job.

Sometimes you need somebody to say no, give it to your real, like go up, get your fat in the gym. Right? So I think there’s ways and times for these different messages that resonate with people.

David Pasqualone: Yeah. I couldn’t agree more. I always, people who’ve listened to this podcast, they know our slogan is Listen. Do.

Repeat. For Life!. Listen to what the guests are saying That worked. Do. Try it. Repeat what works for you each day so you can have a great life in this world and eternity to come. And like you said, I believe all truth comes from [00:14:00] God. He’s the creator of all. And people can say it or filter it or take credit for it, but all truth comes from God, you know, and on every topic.

Either you are right and I’m wrong. I’m right and you’re wrong or both wrong, but we need to seek truth. So that’s why life is like a giant, like just interview process and test, and we’re just preparing again, ready for eternity. But yeah, I definitely agree with you that we should be testing things out and finding what fits for us and how God made us, you know, it’s like diets.

I can’t stand how everybody’s always on a diet, right? Because the fact is. You know, you have all these 800,000 diets that are out there, and the truth is, there’s a few that are really good and solid, but again, they don’t work for every person, every body type, every culture, every genetic makeup, you gotta find the one that works for you.

But the foundational things, eating clean, drinking water, exercising, that works for every human. So like you [00:15:00] said, there’s foundational elements. And there’s the customized, customizable aspects that work for each of our character and personality types. So when you found all this information and you started applying it, you said at 17 you started the journey.

How long was it between 17 where you started realizing these dreams?

Anmol Singh: I think my first dream was realized when I was 18. ’cause like my first dream was okay. Let’s say my vision board says, I want to go to America, right? I want to be there. I wanna be in skyscrapers in New York City. Like all the things that a, a typical boy would want growing up.

But then I know, okay, that’s the goal, but I can’t leapfrog there. Like, how do I even get there, right? I mean. I’m not going to get in a boat and like cross the border, like, you know, like I, I wanna come there the right way. So how do I do that? So then the first step is, okay, first step is I need to leave the country, right?

So when I was 18, I was, I started applying for universities, right? Colleges outside of India, so I can make that first step. And then I, you know, looked into [00:16:00] all the stuff and I was like, wow, US has hard requirements. You have to take SATs and all the other stuff that I’m like, I don’t. Have time for that. I gotta leave right now.

Right. So then I, I looked at universities in the uk United Kingdom, so I went to university in London. That was my first step. Made the first move at least outta the country, step one, achieved, right? So again, not looking at the destination the next step. So next step was first step, let’s leave the country.

Went to university in London, graduated there. The second step for me was, okay, now how do I get to America? And then I was trading stocks and. Well, they said, okay, you can trade stocks from anywhere in the world. You don’t need to be in America. Like, that’s not a valid enough reason. So I was like, okay, how do I get there the right way?

And I said, okay. I found a way that was, you create employment, you create at least 10 jobs in the United States. You pay your taxes on time, you invest at least a million dollars in the economy, and then they’re going to let you, you know come here and be a resident and live here. So that was the next step, and I saved up.

All the money that I had from trading and investing saved it all up. And I finally started a business here in New [00:17:00] York City and I had 12 people that I was employing. We invested well over a million dollars and it was a physical auto service center. That was the first thing that I did here, and that’s how I came to the country the right way.

But I always had like a process that I followed, which is what’s the next step now, not questioning how I’m going to get there. That’s so tough. How am I even going to come up with a million dollars? How am I going to employ 10 people? Right? Like, I didn’t go that far. What’s the next step? Next step. Let’s form the company.

Next step, let’s make a business plan. Next step, let’s start employing the first person, right? So then you start building from there. And before you know it, you can achieve the goals. I think that’s kind of how people need to look into their life, is not focusing on how am I going to get there? Ask the questions, okay, what is the next step?

Rather than asking even how ask, why do I want to do this? And what is the next step I need to take? And the why is often more important than even all the other questions of what and how. ’cause when the why is strong enough, the how just shows up, right? When the intention is clear, the mechanism will appear.

David Pasqualone: Yeah, I think that’s very [00:18:00] true. ’cause I know. In my life, in those I love and see every day in those I’ve consulted with for business. When you are worried about the future, you just stress and it’s like choking and results are hard to come by, but when you just focus on that next step and you know, you know what the big picture is, but you’re just focused on that next step you’re in like joy and peace and you flow and so much more happens.

It’s positive.

Anmol Singh: Yeah. And that also brings with it something even deeper, which is when you just trust the next step, what you’re also doing is you’re trusting God to show you what the next step is going to be. And I think that is the surrender portion that comes with not worrying about how am I going to do it?

What’s it going to look like? How, how, how, like forgetting all about that and trusting that the right path will show up and God will open the door that’s right for you. And if it’s not right for you. It’s going to close it right on your face and you look for the next door. But you, as long [00:19:00] as you have that faith and the trust, you’re going to find the, how the mechanism will automatically appear is like, just stop worrying about the how and having that surrender that, okay, I’m just going to flow and I’m going to go with it, whatever door it might be.

If I don’t like it, bring it to God. You know, maybe another door opens up and I think, and if a door closes, not questioning that, also trusting that it’s being closed for the right reason. I think that’s as more important, if not, you know, as important as looking at the next step.

David Pasqualone: Yeah, I, I agree. I definitely agree.

So once you have this like, I guess, thought process and you’re like, okay, what’s the next step for me? What are the practical things, un mo that you recommend for people to get started? How can they, they’re like, okay, I’m not happy with where I’m at in life. I’m not sure where I’m going. I’m very frustrated.

I’m blank years old. They could be 20 years old, they could be 45 years old, they could be 60, and they’re just not happy at where they’re at in life. [00:20:00] What do you recommend as the first step for them to take?

Anmol Singh: I think the biggest foundational piece. Without which nothing will work, right? I could give you all the best strategies in the world, do this, do that, but nothing is going to work until you do this most important foundational element, which is follow your word, right?

Be a person of integrity. Do what you say you’re going to do and do it. When you said you’re going to do it, make sure you really mean everything you say. Otherwise, don’t say it right? Because even in the Bible it says what? In the beginning there was the word. No word God. The word was God.

David Pasqualone: John

Anmol Singh: one, one. It all starts with the word.

And even in Matthew it says, what? Let your yes. BS let your noby. No. Like don’t be this fickle minded person. Like just stick to your word. And I think all the traditions talk about it. Go back to Buddhism talks about your word to, to Hindu traditions. It talks about, you know, Satya, the truth of your word.

Go to Marcus Aelius Stoicism talks about honor your word. Without that, nothing works. ’cause how many, I mean, you like me know people who in 2020 were like [00:21:00] they were in a job. And they’re like, you know what? I wanna start the side hustle. I wanna start the side business. I have this idea. I just don’t have the time.

I’m so busy with my job. And then comes 2020, you are locked down. You had all the time in the world and yet you still didn’t do it. So there’s a disconnect between what you say you want and what you actions are actually saying in real time, right? You have to learn how to execute on your word. And I noticed this in my own life many years ago where, you know, I was just traveling all over the world, living this business dream, you know, and, but like really living very unhealthy, like eating, like crap, not working out.

And then in my mind I was like, well, I’ll, I’ll just do it, you know, I’ll do this from tomorrow. And then tomorrow comes in, well it’s Friday, so you’re like you know what, I’m just going to do it from Monday. And then Monday comes, it’s like the 28th of the month. You know what? First of the month, new month.

I’ll start then. And then it’s like December. Then you’re like, well, lemme just set New Year’s resolutions. I’ll start next year. So what we’re really doing is we’re moving the goalpost forward. We’re moving the buck forward on our own [00:22:00] goals. Like how do you expect your clients to believe in you? How do you expect the universe to believe in you if you don’t follow through and believe in your own word?

Right? So that’s the foundation of everything. ’cause I could, as I said, I could give you all the strategies. Do this tomorrow. But if you never do it, it doesn’t work. Right? So listening to your word is absolutely crucial, right? Do it not bec whether you feel like it or not, but do it because it’s the right thing to do.

David Pasqualone: Yes. And you, okay? What you just talked about is huge, and then you just threw in that extra little bal. You’re like, whether you feel like it or not, feelings if throughout the Bible cover to cover. When people follow their feelings, bad things happen. But when people do what they’re supposed to do, beautiful things happen.

Like Jesus didn’t want to go to the cross and be betrayed and be abused and be mocked, but he did it ’cause it was the right thing. So feelings are great indicators they give us, you know, we we’re led by them. It shows us [00:23:00] when something’s wrong, but we’re not supposed to live by them. So, like you said, whether it’s as simple as going to the gym, you don’t feel like it, but you go.

Or whether it’s maybe like, you know, having to take your business to the next level. And you’re afraid, or whatever it is, you don’t go by feelings. So how do you, I don’t wanna say disconnect, but how do you override the feelings in your life On Mole and go by fact?

Anmol Singh: I think when you have a sense of purpose and a sense of duty and appreciation for the life that we’ve been given, then you wanna make the most of it.

Right. Like, you have to find that inner purpose first, right? You have to have that connection with, you know, with the spirit that, okay, I’ve been put on, I’ve been blessed with this life, I’ve been given this opportunity. I’m going to make the most of it. I gotta respect that opportunity that’s been given to me.

So I, I treated more like a duty than, and a responsibility. I feel a sense of responsibility for that. ‘Cause you know, a lot of people aren’t that blessed. A lot of people didn’t have this opportunity, so I [00:24:00] almost take it as like. It’s a dis, not only a disservice to me, but I’m dishonoring God, but not using my gifts by just relying on, oh, I don’t feel like it, God, sorry.

You know, I, I, I feel like just ordering a chocolate cake and just stuffing it in my mouth all night, like, I can go on my feelings or I can go on my duty and the responsibility and, you know, having that not only the faith, but like. Hey, I wanna honor not only myself, but I wanna honor God. I wanna honor the life that I’ve been given.

And I think when it comes from that sense of purpose, then you’re going to find a way you’re going to make it happen. You’re going to wake up motivated. ‘Cause every day you’re trying to, you know, prove yourself basically. Not to anybody else, to yourself and to God.

David Pasqualone: And that’s really the only things that matter. I mean, at the end of the day, we’re here to glorify God and everything else is just icing on the cake.

And while we’re here you know, Jesus said, what’s the greatest two commandments? Love God. Love thy neighbor. Love God, love people. And I think we lose sight of that [00:25:00] so often. And even if we have a good grasp of it, what s want to do, as soon as we get it, he wants to steal it away. So. When you’re, I mean, surely every human has ups and downs and we lose focus or we’re distracted and you could have everything going right, and then you meet somebody you know.

So you, you’re a guy that might be ladies listening, but they meet a guy, you meet a girl and we start getting distracted. How do you find to keep the balance in your life again, it always goes back to that relationship with God and trying to prove and honor. But like we discussed earlier on Mole, like there’s only so many hours in the day.

You know, if you did, everybody, everybody says, alright, go work out this long. Okay? Do this such meditation, do this, do that. They, they tell you 18 hours of things to do in a four hour morning, right? So it’s impossible to get everything done, people say. So how do you stay focused and how do you prioritize in your life?

Anmol Singh: Yeah, a great question. ’cause you’re absolutely right. There’s so many things [00:26:00] people want us to do. Do the infrared sauna, do the ledge, do this, do the meditation, do the journaling, and you’re like, Hey, I got kids, I got a family. You know, like when. How do I even do this? I gotta sleep too. And now you’re talking about waking up at four o’clock and going to bed at eight or whatever.

So yeah, you’re absolutely right. And I think a lot of people, that gives us a sense of overwhelm when we hear about those things. But the best way, for me, at least, that I found to fi fix that and move the needle in our life without getting overwhelmed is what I call the critical six or the crucial six.

So every evening, the night before. Right after you’re done with the workday, maybe you’ve done your meditation, you’ve done prayer, whatever it is you do at the nightly routine, then sit down and you don’t need a journal for this, although I have my journal, it’s called Success Journal on my website, but you could do this on a piece of paper.

Grab a piece of paper the night before, write down. First thing is what went great today, right? We’re training our mind to get into the state of gratitude as we end the day. So what went great today, and it [00:27:00] forces you to think what went great. Right and come up with whatever it is. It could be as good as, you know what?

Went down there, had a great conversation, or I walked down, I had a great coffee, whatever it is, any small thing. Then the second step is, what could I have done better today? That’s where reflection comes in. Where could I have improved? Where did I not follow my word? Where did I not honor myself? Right?

Where was I in lack of integrity with myself or where was there something that I could have done better? Maybe a conversation you could have handled better. And I just write down five things and then comes the best piece, which is the crucial six. You write down what are the six needle moving things that I need to do in my own life to move the needle, whether it’s personal goals, whether it’s business goals, right?

Professional goals, write down what are the six needle moving things I need to do. In the morning. So then when you wake up, you’re not waking up like most people do and say, gee, what am I going to do today? Hmm. I don’t know. Well, if you wake up and you gotta think about what you’re going to accomplish today, you’ve already lost half the day.

Right? So you [00:28:00] write that down the night before. So when I wake up, honestly, nothing matters to me. I don’t look at my texts, I don’t look at my email. I don’t look at my phone. My only job is I wanna do those six things. Now, some days I’m going to knock those six things down by like noon. Now I have the rest of the day to freely guilt free, enjoy my day.

I could play golf, I could do whatever I want. Spend time with family, right? But now, some days it’s going to, I’m going to be at my desk till 10:00 PM like just making sure those six things get done. But if I only have that as a goal, I don’t care about all these 20 things that I need to do or people say I need to do.

I just have to do those six things, whether I do it by 10 in the morning, whether I sit at 10 at night, I do it. I don’t do anything else until those six things are accomplished. And that’s a practical way to move the needle in your life. And the most important part is all those six things need to have a time slot allotted to it on your calendar, right?

Otherwise it’s not going to happen. Otherwise, it just becomes a to-do list. So every six things should have time slots, two to three, I’m going to do this, four to five, I’m going to do this right? And once you schedule that, then every [00:29:00] single day. Think about it every single day. If you did those six little moving things, where are you going to be a few months from now?

Where are you going to be? Forget years. Forget where are you going to be months from now if you do, just focus on six things every day.

David Pasqualone: Yes. And ladies and gentlemen, like an MO and I were talking about the foundation elements. God created always work. All truth comes from God and their foundationally solid. You don’t have to worry.

And what Amol saying, like how he does it. You might do it slightly different, but it would be wise to start off, go to his website, check out the journal and his other materials. Start off like he does it and then as you see successes you can adjust it. Maybe you do four things, maybe you do eight things.

But I was laughing when you were talking about that. ’cause I put mine on a whiteboard in the bathroom. As weird as that sounds, so when I go to the bathroom, it’s right in front of me. So not only do I see it when I wake up, but during the day it’s all refreshed and it has the core tasks I need to get done today.

The [00:30:00] deadlines, the time, and then I even have days of the week I have it like plotted out. So what you’re doing on a journal, I do on a whiteboard in my bathroom.

Anmol Singh: Yeah. And I think that you’re absolutely right. Doesn’t matter what the mechanism is, right? There’s just the habit of doing that. Whether you do it on a whiteboard, whether you do it in a journal, whether you do it on a piece of paper, whether you do it on your phone, the the key is just to get it done right?

Like how is irrelevant? And I think that’s what people get caught up in this online world is I need to have this vision board to look exactly like this method. Guys, there is no method, there’s just universal truths. Right. When you just follow that, how you do it, is it relevant? As long as you do it, as long as you do what you said you were going to do, that’s the foundation.

‘Cause think about how rock solid of a human being you become when you do everything you said you’re going to do. How would you feel about yourself if you know your word is solid? When you say you’re going to do something, you just going to get it done. You’re going to build that self-confidence in yourself. Your self-esteem is going to go up and not only with yourself, [00:31:00] but now look at how other people will treat you when they know, hey, when anal says he is going to do this.

It’s going to get done. Like we don’t need to worry about it. We don’t need to question it, we don’t need to follow up. It’s going to get done. And then that’s how I show up in my business relationships, right? The word shows up and that’s how you command, you know, respect in any other room as well. And then your team.

That’s the biggest difference for those of your business owners. Your team knows that if, now if they do, they said they’re going to do something, they better do it on time too. ’cause that’s the expectation, right? When they give me a task. They know it’s going to get done before the deadline. So they have the, I, they know I have the same expectations of them.

So leading by example, setting the example for your team and just, you know, being a good steward of your business. I think that’s how it starts. The foundations.

David Pasqualone: Yeah, I agree. I always used to list out when we were in meetings. You know, here’s a seven crucial task we need to get done, you know, when you’re assigning it to the team.

And I’d let everybody vote on what’s the worst one. And I’d always take that one. That way [00:32:00] nobody could complain about what they’re doing. ’cause I got the crappiest job. Right. But one thing too, ladies and gentlemen, what unwell was saying, the way he does things with journaling and the way I do things with a whiteboard.

It’s how it works for you. But I think for most people, animal animal’s, ways better, and this is why when you’re journaling, you’re not only jotting what you need to do. But you’re like checking it off and then you have a history to go back and look at it’s, it’s like landmarks of victories over and over and over, and page after page, the habit, I’m 48 that I got in of putting on the board and erasing it.

If I’m ever discouraged or down, I’m like, oh, I’m not getting anything done. I don’t have that resource to go back and look at. So that’s something that I should probably start doing is journaling more. Because you just get that look. Victory after victory after victory, and it builds your confidence.

Would you agree with that Anul? A

Anmol Singh: hundred percent. I think it’s spot on because A, you can do a weekly or monthly [00:33:00] reflection where you just go back and you just flip through the pages and feel good about what you’ve accomplished and how much action you’re taking and maybe notice an improvement. You know what?

Wow. The first 10 pages of the journal, I only did three out of the six things, but as the journal progresses, and now I’m doing four out of six, now I’m doing five out of six. Right? So you can find ways. To find that snowball effect in your own life and you can see that improvement and it’s also really helpful to go back and flip through it and celebrate those wins and also see how far you’ve come.

So yeah, I think it’s good to have a record. And it’s also the art of something about like physical paper and pen, you know, but although you could get the same thing on the whiteboard, it also, there’s a difference. But it’s also like, you know, think about manifesting, right? People talk about manifesting all the time.

But it really manifesting all that really is what we do when we write something down is there was an idea in our head, right? It was just an idea, a thought in our head, and now we wrote it down in paper. So technically we’ve just created. Step one a manifestation. We just have a, it was just [00:34:00] an idea. Now it’s in a physical piece of paper with physical manifestation of what the idea was.

And then once you write it down, then the path starts coming up. That’s what we call the spirit, right? We get these voices, Hey, try this, ammo, try this, and you get all these ideas to get you closer and aligned with your. And that, I think is how to get alignment with, you know, God’s will for your life is just to be able to listen.

And when you write, write things down, you know, you’ll get thoughts and you, you, once you rely on those and you follow through, you know, you’ll eventually get to the destination that’s meant for you. All right. So what are you doing today, Anne Mo today? So I finished trading, you know, got done by 12 o’clock 11, 11 30.

I do do the live streams with my trading group. Did that chat. I’m chatting with you now after I get done, going to get some coffee, then I’m going to pack my bags. I’m going to a camping trip in you know, Washington later today. So I got a flight to catch to Seattle later today. And then, yeah, I’m going to be out in the woods for seven days and just focusing on [00:35:00] self-reflection, focusing on myself, and, you know, just taking some time out from the markets for a little bit.

David Pasqualone: Yeah. And if someone wanted to reach out to you and learn more, what’s the best way for them to connect?

Anmol Singh: And the best way to do it is through social media. I’m most active on Instagram and X, and my username is the same on both those channels. It’s Delta 90. It’s all spelled out.

D-E-L-T-A-N-I-N-E-T-Y. I was like, as I said, 17 years old when I got the username, so don’t judge me on it. Can’t change it Now. We’re stuck with that. So Delta 90 but I’d love to give your listeners a free copy of my book prepping for Success, 10 keys for Making It in Life. They can just go to go go.unmold.net and they can just cover shipping and grab a free copy of book Wherever they are in the world, we will ship it out.

David Pasqualone: Beautiful. And then again, we spent a lot of time together and I appreciate you and what the listeners don’t know is you I, I think. We’ve had three cancellations before we could get this done between your life and my life, [00:36:00] and most of it was me. I had my lost my voice. I had a buddy in crisis, and then we had all sorts of things going on, so I’m glad we were finally here today.

But based on what we covered, is there any other final thoughts or inspiration or, hey, try this to our listeners that you want to end the show with before we move on?

Anmol Singh: I, I, I would say that. The first step is doing an inventory of your life, of your word, and because it all starts with there. ’cause you know nothing matters.

As I said, no strategies will matter if you don’t follow through. So the first step is to sit down with yourself on this podcast and then take an inventory. Where in my life have I said I’m going to do something that I haven’t been doing? Where is something where I haven’t kept my word? Where have I not honored my word?

And just start thinking things will come up. Right. And if nothing comes up, well think about the small things. When’s the last time you said, Hey, you know, let’s say a friend of your call or your mom or your [00:37:00] dad calls, you’re like, Hey, I’m just in the middle of something. Let me call you back, and then you never did.

Or the email you’re supposed to follow up with just sitting in your drafts. You never sent pressed the sent button, or you ran into an old friend at a shopping mall or airport. You’re like, Hey, so good to see you. We should totally catch up when you know you have no intentions of ever catching up with them.

So think about why we say these things, why we say we’re going to do something and we don’t. Where is that coming from? And take an inventory. And that comes with having some quiet time with yourself and some reflection to notice where have I not kept my word? And if you can’t come up with something, ask the closest people to you.

They’re going to tell you if you ask sincerely, if you ask them, Hey, is there something that you’ve heard me say over and over that I just haven’t done? Or some idea that I’m going to start this business, I’m going to start a podcast and just haven’t done it. Right? Start making a list and then you’re going to notice that if you’re not where you want to be, it’s because the words were not kept right.

And we have our mind is. Created in a way that when we say we’re going to do something and we don’t, then that creates [00:38:00] low self-esteem. And that low self-esteem creates low confidence. Then we wonder why we show up we way we do. Because the unconscious mind doesn’t recognize your intention. It only sees words, spoken actions not taken.

That’s it. So the more we can get into our spoken words mean something, that’s the foundation of everything, and just this one thing will really transform the quality of your life.

David Pasqualone: All right. I love hosting this podcast for the last seven years ’cause I get to meet Remarkable people and I learn myself almost every show.

And I’m sitting here anal thinking about what you’re saying and whether it’s personal or business. I exhaust myself to the point of, you know, unconsciousness, if not death, if it was necessary to fulfill everything I promise. But yet all the often. I make promises to myself, even as simple as like we talked before, I’m going to get up in the morning, go to the gym, and then I work till 3:00 AM and I’m like, yeah, I’m not [00:39:00] getting up and going to the gym.

So I’m constantly breaking my word to myself. What do you think is a psychological or spiritual cause of that?

Anmol Singh: Yeah, I think psychologically first we’ll tackle that. I think psychologically it’s because we’ve conditioned a habit where we’ve not honored ourselves, we’ve not honored our word, and maybe it came from childhood.

Maybe it came from the past, wherever it came from, there’s been instances that we’ve conditioned ourselves not to follow through. And once we’ve done that, maybe early on, especially in our twenties. Right is the foundational years is for an adult in the twenties, if we, there’s things that we’ve said we’re going to do and we never just never did, we’ve kind of wired that pattern.

So the next time what happens is when you set a goal, I’m going to do this, your unconscious mind looks at all the past times you said you’re going to do it and you didn’t, and it says you’re not going to do it. And that’s where we get those little voices of doubt. And all it takes is a momentary doubt. To enter your mind, to take us away from our goal where you say, I’m going to, you [00:40:00] know what?

I’m going to go to the gym in next hour. And unconsciously things will pop up in our calendar. Oh, we just got so busy, you know, I just didn’t do it. We’ll create these scenarios because our unconscious mind has been wired that way. So that’s the psychological factor. I think the spiritual factor is, again, we are putting too much emphasis on ourselves, right?

By saying, Hey, I need to do this. I am not doing this. When you are, like, when you look at every inner voice. Okay. That’s a voice from the Holy Spirit. You, you’re going to follow through, right? If I say that’s my voice, I’m going to do this. We can, you know, break our word very easily, but when we treat everything like, okay, that’s an order, that’s a command, I’m going to follow through.

And just living like that and training ourselves. It’s the conditioning process of just training ourselves to keep the small words in our life. And, and that builds the snowball to keep the big words in our life. So just notice next time, you know somebody texts you and your, your text message is just at red.

You read their message, you just didn’t respond. ’cause again, you just don’t value it. Right? Notice these [00:41:00] micro things where we stop devaluing other people that are also children of God. We’re devaluing other people. So in the end, we will create that for ourselves too, and we will devalue ourselves. So I think that’s when it comes down to valuing those little, little moments.

And that’ll be like a snowball effect, right? Like a snowball rolling down the mountain. It’s a tiny snowball, but it keeps collecting more and more snow and then you’re going to be able to achieve those bigger goals as the snowball grows. So start keeping the small words. That’s why I think, what was that Army general who talked about it?

Making your bed every morning. It’s not the art of making the bed, it’s art of starting the day with keeping the first commitment. Right? That’s why this thing works. It’s not making the bed’s not going to do anything for you, but it’s that you woke up and you followed your word instantly and now we start rewiring that habit that helps us follow all the other words that we might give to others and ourselves throughout the day.

David Pasqualone: Yes, I think that’s good advice, and I got a lot to think about myself. So when we were talking about three or four times through this interview. When I trusted Christ as my savior, when I was [00:42:00] 15, my whole life changed. And I remember being surrounded by liars. So I always wanted to tell the truth. And I remember thinking that why lie?

Because God knows the truth and that his is the only opinion that matters. So I personally made it a point to tell the truth, even when it seems to be painful, but it always works out best when you tell the truth, right? But I feel like now I’m listening and thinking like, am I lying to myself? And then I think I was saying three or four times in our conversation, you know, ladies and gentlemen, sometimes, you know, within people who are supposed to be holy, they’re some of the biggest liars, or they tell, what do they call it?

White. White lies. And there’s no such thing as a white lie. A lie is a lie. But in the Bible with the John the Baptist story, do you remember that story? Unal?

Anmol Singh: Not really. Which one?

David Pasqualone: So John the Baptist was the precursor to Christ and [00:43:00] there was a man who was in control and he had a party for his stepdaughter.

And he said, I’ll give you anything you want up to half of my kingdom. And the evil mother convinced her to say she wanted John the Baptist head on a charger. So. The king who was ungodly, he knew John the Baptist was a good man and he is like, you know, he didn’t expect that to happen, but he gave his word that anything you want up to half my kingdom all do.

So even though this man was ungodly lusted for his stepdaughter, you know, did probably a million things wrong. He still kept his word even though he knew it was wrong because he gave his word. So that’s why like when I look at the Bible and I look at even just seriously, 20 years ago, people’s word meant so much more than it does today.

And while I’m sitting here [00:44:00] listening to you and saying, no, I keep my word to others. Man, I don’t keep my word to myself. So I thank you for today. And ladies and gentlemen, as you’re listening, hopefully you’re reflecting and what Admiral is saying. Anything I say, anything anybody says, filter it through the Bible, filter it through the truth, God’s word, and then apply it to your life.

So I got some work to do and I wanted to say thank you and well, I appreciate you brother.

Anmol Singh: No thank you. And I think that was a great story too. Like I needed to hear that too. ’cause that’s powerful, right? I mean, that is powerful. That the word is sacred. The word is our bond. I mean, in the beginning. So, and even then, it’s like in the, in the end of our life, right?

We can’t take anything with us. Like, you’re not even people even going to forget everything you did. But they’re going to remember how you made them feel and how you kept your word, right? That’s what people are going to remember. They’re going to forget all the things you accomplished. They’re going to forget all the money you made.

They’re going to forget everything. Everything’s going to be forgotten a few years after when we leave the earth. But what people are going to remember you [00:45:00] for is, you know what? That person always did what he said he was going to do. His word was sacred. He just said something, you don’t have to follow up. You know it’s going to get done.

And I think that is the person we’re all striving to be. Right. And we’re all going to, you know, it’s so easy to keep the words with others ’cause we wanna look good. We don’t wanna look bad in front of other people. But when we are with ourselves, that is the biggest test. And I think I’m in the same boat.

We have instances in our life where I don’t keep my word all the time either. Nobody does. It’s just that, hey, you are humble enough to a admit it. You accept it. And then you can move forward, right? But the key is to, step one is realization, is expecting that, okay, we’re not going to per, we’re not perfect.

We’re not perfect. We’re not going to be perfect. The key is just to constantly reinforce the good habits and follow through because we’re on this mission, we’re on this purpose, we’re on this path. And yeah. So it was great conversation, great chatting with you as well.

David Pasqualone: Excellent. So ladies and gentlemen, like Anol said, like our slogan says Listen.
