Episode / Guest Frequently Asked Questions… and Answers!

Q: How can someone overcome a severe heroin addiction through faith?

A: Overcoming heroin addiction through faith involves a “holistic restoration” of the mind, body, and spirit. As Adam Dimick’s story illustrates, success often requires surrendering to a higher power, finding unconditional love through a relationship with Jesus Christ, and surrounding oneself with a supportive faith community that provides a new sense of purpose and a framework for daily sober living.

Q: What are the primary causes of the intersection between homelessness and addiction?

A: The link between homelessness and substance abuse is often a cycle of cause and effect. While addiction can lead to job loss and eviction, the trauma of living on the streets—characterized by violence, lack of sleep, and extreme isolation—frequently drives individuals to “self-medicate” with substances like heroin just to function or endure the day.

Q: How do you cope with the loss of a child to Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS)?

A: Coping with the loss of an infant to a congenital heart defect like HLHS requires a long-term grief process. Experts and survivors recommend joining specialized support groups like Conquering CHD or Compassionate Friends, seeking professional counseling, and allowing yourself the grace to process “trigger events” like birthdays or holidays that can spark intense recurrence of grief.

Q: Can a change of environment truly help in drug addiction recovery?

A: Yes. Relocating to a new environment—as Adam did when moving from the streets of Los Angeles to Pensacola—can be a critical “rescue” step. It removes the immediate access to drug triggers and toxic social circles, allowing the individual to build a new identity and focus on recovery without the constant pressure of their old environment.

Q: What is the first step to take when hitting "rock bottom" with addiction?

A: The first step is often a moment of complete surrender and reaching out for help. Whether it is a phone call to a family member or entering a faith-based recovery program, moving from hopelessness to a “surrender” mindset is what allows the process of healing and the discovery of a future to begin.

Imagine losing everything—your health, your child, and your home—to a spiral you never saw coming. In this episode, Adam Dimick shares the raw and powerful journey of how he moved from a street racing crew in Los Angeles to the depths of a heroin addiction that left him living in a tent on the freeway, and the miraculous restoration that followed.

The Road to Rock Bottom

Adam’s journey didn’t start in the shadows. At 18, he had given his life to Christ, but a church scandal two years later rocked his foundation, leading to a period of backsliding. By 21, he found himself immersed in the high-stakes world of the Los Angeles street racing scene. What began as recreational drug use and a “fast” lifestyle quickly escalated into legal trouble, including $50,000 in warrants and a lost driver’s license.

A Heartbreaking Loss: James’s Story

At 24, Adam attempted to turn a new leaf by starting a family. However, the joy of pregnancy was met with the devastating news that his son, James, would be born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. James lived only 12 days before passing away following complications with heart surgery. The weight of this grief shattered Adam’s world and his relationship, driving him further toward a life of adrenaline-seeking and eventually, a deeper dependence on substances.

From Opiates to the Streets of LA

In an attempt to escape the “riffraff” of LA, Adam moved to Colorado, but his search for peace through mountain biking led to a near-fatal accident back in Pasadena. With fractured ribs and chronic back pain, he was introduced to narcotic pain medication. The slide from prescription pills to black tar heroin was swift and total, eventually costing him his home and his hope. At his lowest point, Adam was suicidal and living in a tent on the side of a Los Angeles freeway.

The Rescue and Restoration in Pensacola

Ten years after first introducing him to Christ, Adam’s uncle—Pastor Mike Dimick—offered him a final lifeline: an opportunity to leave the streets of LA and start fresh in Pensacola, Florida. Moving in with his uncle and aunt in 2016 provided the stable environment Adam needed to finally clean up and find restoration. His story today is not one of personal strength, but a testimony to the glory of God and the possibility of a second chance for anyone, regardless of how far they’ve fallen.

Overcoming the Unthinkable: Addiction, Loss, and Redemption with Adam Dimick

David Pasqualone: Hello friends. Welcome to this week’s episode of Hanging Out with David Pasqualone and friends. Today we have with us Adam Dimmick. Adam, how are you today, brother?

Adam Dimick: I’m doing great. How are you, Dave?

David Pasqualone: Man, I’m Remarkable. So ladies and gentlemen, today, Adam’s going to share his story with us, what he’s learned over his years on this earth and where he’s headed next, and how you can be part of that as well.

It’s a story of overcoming adversity, it’s challenges, addiction, things that would break most people, and Adam’s going to teach you that while he did it, he didn’t do it of himself. He’s going to show you what he did that changed his life and how he overcame addictions. Hard scenarios, trouble that would just, [00:01:00] again, rock most people.

And it’s hopefully going to bring you hope. So if you, your loved ones have any kind of addiction problem, depression, this is a great episode for you to listen and share. Adam, I’ve talked enough. Let’s do this. Tell us your story, brother.

Adam Dimick: All right. I’ll just get right into it. First I just want to say that I’m grateful for this opportunity to share my testimony with the, with everybody, with, I hope it blesses you guys.

And just want to clarify that this is all for the glory of God to Jesus Christ and his kingdom. And I just want to make sure that everybody knows that’s where I’m coming from and that’s where I’m going to stay. Yeah, when I was 18. My uncle introduced me to the gospel, gave my life to Christ and started out in a good church.

But two years into it, a little church scandal happened and affected my faith [00:02:00] in this particular just in church in general. But I think a lot of people probably have that similar type of story anyways. More or less backslid, let some things back into my life like alcohol and, smoking weed.

And I let, I met this girl, let her move in when I was about 21. Big mistake. And living in sin. And then we started getting, we’re, was se sexually active and, I moved to an area, I basically, I became involved with the street racing crew. I used to have sports cars growing up, and that was my thing was driving and racing sports cars.

I got into this street racing crew and, just bad influences in Los Angeles in a rough area near downtown la. Got street tickets, got lo lost my license, had a $50,000 bailed to [00:03:00] warrants and all that. So anyways, was living with that girl near downtown la going to street races, just smoking weed, doing Dr.

Doing drugs. Just more or less just recreational, just fun. None of the really tough stuff happened quite yet. And then when I was 24 we I wanted to try to start a family and so we were trying to have a kid. And so when we did, when she finally got pregnant, we found out that that our son James was going to be born with a heart problem called hypoplastic left heart syndrome.

It only affects, I think, 1% of the world’s population of people. So we did our research and we find out there’s a heart surgery that they have where they can do re three stage reconstructive heart surgery. Anyways, long story short, he didn’t make it through the first surgery. He was about 12 days old [00:04:00] and he was supposed to make it through it, but we got.

Kind of done wrong by the health insurance companies lying to us and, doing what they do. So anyways, he didn’t make it. I took it really rough. We both did actually. We, it split us up. We promised that we would get married and, try again and start a new life if he didn’t make it out of the surgery.

But God had another plan. So anyways, God took him. I took it pretty rough. I then turned to m mountain biking. I guess I, I got addicted to mountain biking, a junkie, adrenaline junkie. And during that time I was just chasing for more and more. I actually moved to Colorado Springs just to.

Get outta la get away from all the riffraff and start fresh. But had that mountain biking addiction that I was dealing with got [00:05:00] into a couple bad falls out there, but it wasn’t until when I moved back to LA about eight months later was mountain biking in Pasadena and Brown Mountain and got into a really bad mountain biking accident.

Hurt my back, fractured my ribs, and was in a back brace for months. Couldn’t really do much, couldn’t work. And then that’s when the depression came in. Physical pain, chronic pain and depression. I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder and, as a kid I was also diagnosed with ADD, but.

That’s another part of the story that I’ll get to anyways. When I got into that mountain biking accident, that’s when I was introduced to narcotic pain medication, opiates, and from there my opiate addiction went from pills [00:06:00] to, street pills on all the way to black tar heroin and found myself it pretty much destroyed my life.

Adam Dimick: That’s another part of the story that I’ll get to anyways. When I got into that mountain biking accident, that’s when I was introduced to narcotic pain medication, opiates, and from there my opiate addiction went from pills to, street pills on all the way to black tar heroin [00:09:00] and found myself it pretty much destroyed my life.

it did destroy my life to where I became at the worst part, I was homeless. Friends and family, just weren’t able to be there for me because I threw my life away. Was suicidal. My fr my family wouldn’t take me in. I had nobody to take me to help me, found myself addicted and with no hope living in a tent on the side of the LA freeway.

And until my uncle, who was the first person that introduced me to Christ when I was 18 at this point let’s see, I was, I think 29 or 30. So 10 years after my uncle introduced me to Christ. He was also the same person who gave me a chance and an opportunity to move out of la off of the streets to live with him and my aunt.

My [00:10:00] uncle is Mike Dimick. He’s a pastor out here in Pensacola, Florida. And he took me in and gave me a chance to clean up and start fresh. And I’ve been clean from the hard stuff since I’ve been in Pensacola 2016.

David Pasqualone: Just so the listeners know, Mike and his wife Maria were on one of the original episodes of our podcast right before COVID launched, so we got the first half of their story. I’ll put a link in the show notes so you can learn more about Mike. And I was just speaking with Mike about getting him and Maria back on the show.

And wrapping up their story. They’re one of the only two part episodes we’ve ever done, and we gotta finish it, right? It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. So this is a great segue ’cause you’re seeing the impact that Mike and his wife had on our guest today. Adam. Yes. So Adam, keep going, man.

Adam Dimick: Yeah.

[00:11:00] So I’m given some of the given the kind of the overall story plot because there, there wouldn’t be enough time to give all the intricate details. But I’ll give you guys some fun little tidbits. Moving out to Florida wasn’t just to get clean and sober. That was obviously a major part of it, but when I was living in the streets and hanging around bad just bad people gang activity and stuff.

Using drugs, buying drugs, selling drugs. I got into a a issue where somebody actually put a hit out on my life and they actually almost got me. They ended up I didn’t know it at the time, but they sent somebody after me. And this is only from selling a 20 bag, if you will, in the wrong neighborhood.

But I later found out that I was set up. Anyways, they found me and my friend [00:12:00] was with me, and he got out of the car to confront this other guy. They started like punching each other. I didn’t know, but the guy that was punching my friend had a knife in his hand and he ended up stabbing my friend three times.

Pretty, pretty bad right here in the rib. I, was in a bad place in my life and I was trying to run the guy over with my car that stabbed my friend, but obviously God protected that from happening. My friend barely survived. I rushed into the hospital. He survived and was saying that I was a hero for saving his life.

I say that we’re both idiots for being involved in that whole situation. But anyways, that was a, so I, before I was going to kill anybody, I wanted to leave LA and get out of there because I was going to act before they were, and I didn’t want to be spending my life in prison. [00:13:00] And it’s incredible the way God orchestrated everything because the guy that put a hit out on my life.

He ended up perishing and I still to this day don’t know who did it or how, what happened, but apparently s somebody gave him a bad shot of dope and they call it a hot shot. And and he passed away. I moved, I got outta there pretty quick as soon as I could after all that was going down.

And when I came out to Pensacola the heroin withdrawals were bad to the point where I had to be I had to go to the methadone clinic to get on methadone to prevent from, drug withdrawal or relapsing or going back in the streets or going out in the streets out here and trying to get well because you’re.

It’s a mind body, soul altering drug that just will [00:14:00] take your soul if you allow it. So anyways, got on methadone, was able to stay off of drugs, but was on 180 milligrams of methadone per day at the highest, which is enough to kill a few people. And, overdosing wise ’cause of the strength of medication.

But I went from 180 milligrams and worked myself all the way down to a hundred twenty eighty, sixty forty, and got down to the point where I was on like three milligrams, three milligrams per day. And I was on that for about a year and a half until I just went down to nothing And. Took a video of me flushing the last pill, vial of methadone down the toilet.

And that was about three years ago. So [00:15:00] yeah, got off of that. And so this is, this, my story’s kind of a two part story where

there’s that part of it. And then now during this time while I’m on methadone, okay, I’m dealing with such heavy depression, still dealing with suicidal thoughts but in a great home with my uncle in a great healing environment around believers, was attending church, was serving at church as well.

And wasn’t missing a beat. The only thing that helped and prevented these crazy dangerous thoughts was when I would have my face stuck in my Bible. And so I spent a lot of time reading my Bible because it was the only medication that actually helped. And I was [00:16:00] on antidepressants as well, but it was the only thing that kind of kept me sane.

So fast forward to, so that was 2016 when came out here. 2018 was doing good still, trying to wean down off the methadone. And then everything was going good. And then in. 2020, which is when COVID hit the same day that COVID hit and the lockdown happened. I outta nowhere. I woke up one day and could not walk.

My, my right knee was incapacitated. I couldn’t even put weight on it. I was in crutches for three months now I didn’t do anything. There was no injury that happened. Could not walk, could not work. Lockdown happened. Depression came in as well. Went through physical therapy. Would [00:17:00] not go on pain meds, obviously, ’cause I was al already on methadone trying to get off of methadone.

But went through specialists, tried to get the knee taken care of, and ended up taking close to about a year to figure out what was going on with my knee. Something that they call p pika, which is it’s like a thin skin membrane on your knee that can affect people if it’s still there. It is supposed to dissolve when you’re born.

Anyways, supposedly my pika skin was giving me issues and they had to do knee surgery. So I got knee surgery. During that time, I let out, I let alcohol back into my life after knowing that it was an evil in my life that I did not want or need. I found that it that it helped with the pain from my knee.

[00:18:00] And and then, so at that time I also entertained, go going to, get medical marijuana card, which I did. So I was and it did help with with the pain but not realizing how it was going to affect me long term. So I let those two back in my life and then

it got to the point where the alcoholism started getting bad to where I was drinking all the time, and something that was just supposed to be helping for pain. Then I was relying on it all the time for pain. ’cause I’m, I deal with chronic pain from my back injury, from my mountain biking accident and my knee.

Thankfully I don’t, I’m not on anything anymore. Praise the lord. But, leading up to this, you guys are going to understand what happened. To me and how [00:19:00] God used this latest season, which I’m going to explain to you guys in a second. For my good, for his glory and to hopefully help you guys deal with whatever you’re dealing with.

Everybody deals with something. I don’t care if it’s a substance, if it’s an addiction to tv, to watching reels on social media to eating, pornography, sexual addiction, substances, you name it. Everybody has something that they struggle with, that they deal with, and I’ve pretty much had ’em all.

I have a very addictive personality and was put on a DD medication at age five, so I was already predisposed to being a. Needing medication while I was developing and growing up as a child, so I know, yeah. They essentially

David Pasqualone: rewired your brain by putting you on that medicine, [00:20:00] and it opened up the door for, we don’t, we know so little about the human brain to begin with, and with all these pharmaceuticals, we know even less about the effects of all these pharmaceuticals on a developing mind.

But bottom line is, if you look at real science, it’s never good. It doesn’t help, it makes worse problems as you encountered. Correct.

Adam Dimick: Yeah. I will say that, like I’m not one of those type of Christians who says X, don’t you? You cannot allow any medication. Don’t take medication.

I’m actually a firm believer because, for instance, Prozac. I’m a firm believer in medications like that because they can potentially save your life. If you are having suicidal thoughts or you’re just in a place where you need something because the depression is overbearing, it can be a medication [00:21:00] that can save your life.

So I’m not one to say no medication at all. It has saved my life on a couple different occasions, but you have to be careful coming off of it because your body can be thrown into serotonin syndrome, which is, it trying to adjust and not having enough serotonin released or getting too much released at once.

If you switched from Prozac to another medication like Paxil or one of the other antidepressants like Cymbalta, it can send you to the hospital, which happened to me a couple times as well. Yeah, be careful, but. The thing and the goal,

David Pasqualone: Like you said, everything has its place, but we want to use anything natural we can first and even if you are on a pharmaceutical, the goal is to get off it, not live in existence on it, just like you get off methadone, correct?

Adam Dimick: Yeah. It, I think that I look at [00:22:00] the, these medications as a tool to get you through to the next place where God has for you. And I think my life story is pretty much that is God allowing me to experience these things. But he’s got me at a place right now where I’m cold tur. I’m not cold Turkey yet.

I did cold Turkey. Eventually at some point you have to cold Turkey. But, i’m to the point right now where he’s got me leaning and depending on him and his word a hundred percent, without any type of medicine or medication or alcohol or tobacco to to take the edge off, if you will. God has got me in a place where he wants to be the one to take the edge off and he’s doing so.

But this next [00:23:00] part of my story is interesting.

David Pasqualone: And this started when on the timeline.

Adam Dimick: Okay, so this, a year ago,

David Pasqualone: two years ago

Adam Dimick: this one happened. This one is very recent. This one is, yeah, we’ll say two years ago is when it started.

I, so when I went, I was in Michigan, that’s when I got off the methadone. I was drinking a lot. I came back out here. I was in Michigan for, I think in 2020 2, 23. And then when I came back out here to Pensacola, Florida I just hit the, my job and was, became like a workaholic all over again. And an alcoholic.

I was drinking a lot too, but I started my dog training facility out here and built that, had a pretty good size operation for just [00:24:00] me and a couple employees, and was just working like 15 hours a day working myself to the ground. Anyways, I found I found out about playing pool, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and it was something that would take me my mind off of work and just a work release more, more or less.

So got into playing pool, became addicted to that, and started, just you’re hanging around other people that play pool. It’s not really the best type of people or quality of people that you can experience playing pool. But anyways, I met this girl and we were, seeing involved with each other and was seeing each other off and on for a while for probably about two years.

And so during this time [00:25:00] I was having, actually even in Michigan, I was having these weird spiritual encounters where I would actually see a spirit and. In Michigan, I saw a, it almost looked like it was like a person that was like a like a pirate apparition on my porch step. I didn’t think much of it.

I went to the store to, I think I went to the liquor store to get some beer, and I came back and I saw the same thing on my door, on my doorstep, and it ran and took off into the woods. So then I was just like, okay, this is really weird. So then I went inside, told my parent, told my mom about it, and then I went back outside to investigate a third time and ended up seeing a, another smaller [00:26:00] spirit that went, ran off into that direction.

This time I actually took my camera and I took a picture of it and I got. I got a picture of just it, off in the distance and I got a picture of its eyes, which I still have on my camera to this day. But and I went over there to see what it was, and there was nothing there.

There was no animal or any evidence of anything. Anyways, so fast forwarding to when I came back out here and I was seeing that girl and it was just when I was playing pool and just in that whole scene, I had a very ominous spirit visit me while I was sleeping on about two or three separate occasions.

And I prayed about it and asked God and asked the Holy Spirit, what the heck was that? What is this thing? What is that? And I had to like. [00:27:00] Praying the name of Jesus to ask it, to leave, tell it to leave. And the Holy Spirit told me that it was a murderous spirit. So I said, okay, great. That’s good to know.

And right around this time, shortly after I had a experience with this girl that was discouraging. She came over to my house. We got into an argument. It was late at night. It, I thought she had left, but her car was parked in front of my house. And so I went up to her car to see like if everything’s okay, hey, are you, I thought you said you were going to drive home.

Just seeing what, what was going on. And she had a gun in her hand and she waved it at me and her. I stepped back afraid that I’m going to get shot. She looked like she was going to, I didn’t know if she was going to try to kill me and then kill [00:28:00] herself or what the heck was going on. So she, and she was like, yelled leave me alone.

So I said, I, now I’m going to broke up with her. After that split up and then

me being an idiot, I texted her happy birthday, like the next, y six months later or something. We ended up, getting past that incident. She justified it by a certain way. That’s not really even important to get into, but I believed it. I bought it. I gave her benefit of the doubt. So anyways.

Trying to keep on track here because so many different things happened. But so then

unfortunately this girl,

the enemy, used her to, [00:29:00] she reintroduced a drug into my life that was gone, which was meth. And she, knew my past, she knew my past and knew that I was not wanting any part of it, even though I was drinking and smoking weed. And that was it. I wasn’t doing any pills or doing anything aside from taking my a DD medication, which is Adderall, which is an amphetamine, but.

The hard stuff obviously staying away from, so she introduced it to me, reintroduced it to me. I slipped up obviously. And and then we were just, it was, we didn’t really jive. We weren’t really working out. So we would get together and split up and get together, split up. And then 4th of July, this is where it starts getting good.

4th of July, she just outta [00:30:00] nowhere,

David Pasqualone: Of 25. This past 4th of July. A year. About a year ago?

Adam Dimick: Yep. Okay. Yep. About a year ago. Yep. So now we’re coming up to this late latest year. She she just broke up with me and ghosted me, which at the time I was just like. Frustrated and what the hell?

I was really good to her. I took good care of her, and was helping her go through, some healing that she was going through. But anyways, I was hiding my hidden drug addiction from her because I couldn’t get my Adderall medication. So my, normally what would help me, I couldn’t get it because my doctor lost his license.

And anyways, I was using that street drug as a a DD medication more or less, which a lot of people do, but it’s, it doesn’t [00:31:00] work. So she broke up, I broke up, or she broke up with me, whatever, and ghosted me. So then. This is where it gets weird. I was just on my phone on reels, just, not having any direction, just like, all right, that kind of sucks, and all of a sudden I start getting these reels on my phone that are saying now, during this time, it, I also had I was getting these notifications on my phone and some basically somebody stole my identity. I had identity theft. Somebody got my social security number, and they put my credit.

My credit to this day is still zero. It shows that I’ve never even had credit. Whoever did this was a professional. Anyways I think it, to this [00:32:00] day, I don’t know if it was her or not, but sh so it’s a lot of information to get out. So she was informed me that she was legally married to somebody that, they had this court case and that they, she had to stay legally married to him for some gun ca charge or something.

And so he was in prison. He’s in prison and I know his name. During this time when I had the identity theft happen to me, I got a call from somebody with that same name and I caught him scamming me, trying to get more information outta me. So I’m. Thinking it’s probably him, but again, I don’t have all the proof quite yet anyways.

During the time, during the same time, like going back to [00:33:00] the reels, I would get these reels that would say your ex X stole your inheritance, stole your identity, and stole your inheritance. And I didn’t know what to think of it. I would just pass by it, push, not interested on it, ignore it.

And then I would get back on there and then it would be like, your ex is doing death magic on you. And I’m like, what the hell is this? Try to ignore it. And then I would get more stuff like. Your family stole your inheritance, your one of your family members. Now, during this time, I’m trying to figure out, okay, is this just wacky?

What’s going on here? And I, during the time when I was a heroin addict and I got clean off of heroin, got on the methadone, my [00:34:00] stepfather actually passed away. And if there was money that he had given to me and my brother, I probably wouldn’t have given me any money either because I was in a place where I wasn’t able to, be able to take care of money like that or just maybe they didn’t want me to relapse.

So I’m thinking, okay, maybe this is one of those things where my family isn’t sharing something with me, as, it’s hard to explain how this happened, but basically while I’m looking at, so

I got, I fell into this. I don’t know if our viewers are familiar with the term divination or tarot card readings, stuff like that, right? It’s things that are in the spiritual realm that God is not fond of. He, it’s, can be very wicked and false [00:35:00] divin, false prophecy, stuff like that anyways, and it’s all over the it’s all over the internet and reels and stuff like that.

But here’s the irony of it. God used these di Divinations that. More or less hooked me. So I’m thinking it’s my ex who, got my identity and it’s like these I would get these readings where it was like your ex is doing death magic on you and this and that.

So I’m like, what the heck? Who are these family members and these exes of mine and how are they in cahoots? Okay. So I’m sitting here drinking a beer, and then I get this reel that says, you got, and I have a beer in my lap, [00:36:00] and this reel says. Sitting in your lap is your friend that’s betraying you?

So I’m like, what? How is alcohol a friend? Okay. So systematically, one by one, these reels revealed

these spirits that I was putting into my life and allowing into my life. There was alcohol, there was marijuana, there was, and it even went to spirit of Jezebel. God revealed all these things that I was allowing into my life. And it was so bizarre because let’s say like for example, with the alcohol, it didn’t just happen where it was like God revealed, Hey, you’re putting alcohol in your body, you need to stop.

They’re stealing your [00:37:00] inheritance. ’cause this is a spiritual realm that we live in. This is a spiritual world. And in the Old Testament, through and through God is warning the prophets, warning, warning his people through the prophets to not to follow after other gods, not to listen to false prophets, not to follow gods that, that they have not known, nor their fathers have known.

And if you’ll put away these idols, then he will receive you. So anyways it’s so bizarre how this all happened in a short amount of time in this last year to where, even to the point where when I was trying to get rid of the alcohol, I would, I’d be like, okay, I’m done. And then. It was odd because I would use these reels and there was several different people that would come up on my for you, for your page [00:38:00] that would chime into exactly what I was doing.

And it was almost like the reel would know if I was still drinking because it would say, you’re still doing this and that, that friend is lying to you. And it got all the way to the point where even when I got rid of, so it would say this particular for example, cigarettes, it would say this this pers this fake friend of yours that you keep talking to is lying to you.

And is talking bad about you behind your back. So that’s, and then it would say you’re, you buried you buried them in the backyard and you’re picking up you something about picking up bones. And it was when I was trying to quit smoking cigarettes that the little cigarette butts I would have in the backyard.

And I wasn’t buying packs, but I would go [00:39:00] and, smoke the little cigarette butts trying to get the little bit of nicotine and these reels would call it out what I was doing. I didn’t realize what was happening at the time though. And I thought that I had a fake friend, or I thought that there was a family member that was talking bad about me behind my back and that stole my inheritance.

’cause these reels would break everything down and to the point where.

It got to the point where

I was able to discern with my, with the Holy Spirit’s ability to show me that in the spiritual realm I was allowing these spirits into, I was putting them into my body. And our body is a temple for the Holy Spirit. And if we allow these, we don’t see them as spirits, we see them as objects, [00:40:00] but they indeed have a spirit component to them that is very real and can ultimately God is a jealous God.

He doesn’t want any other gods before him. And these substances that we continue to put in our bodies. You’ve heard it a thousand times before, but I didn’t know there, there was no other way for me to stop these substances. And God found a way to do it through this weird, wacky way of these real, these reels and this divination that Eventually he even got to the point where at the end he was like, okay, now you gotta get rid of this spirit.

And that’s a spirit of divination that I, that was revealed to me. But he’s nevertheless, he used what the enemy meant for evil. He used for his good. And so yeah, [00:41:00] the details of it are hard to explain, but each one of them, God dealt with I put them away from me. And it’s funny because each one.

Was like, yeah, he’s they’re doing death magic on you. They want you to die. The cigarettes, the alcohol, they want you to die, but what they wish for you is going to come on them. And in my life, those things did die. And even in the reels that, that I was watching that were for my page, and they would come up, it would say that for example, with the cigarettes, it would be like, they want you to suffocate or drown, but they ended up drowning because I flushed ’em down the toilet.

And these things all happen. I would get reels, right when I was about to stop something. Most of the stuff I flushed down the toilet other, another time I threw the cigarette pack out the window [00:42:00] and it was like. The reel said that person got into a plane crash or something.

’cause I threw the cigarettes out the window. But anyways, this whole time when it’s talking about your ex or your friend, I thought they were talking about, I thought it was talking about that ex that I got, that I that I split up from. Okay. Now what’s bizarre is, so in the spiritual realm and like witchcraft, there’s something called return to sender where if somebody does a spell to you, and a spell can be just somebody speaking bad over your life if they speak, life and death is in the power of the tongue.

And so if somebody speaks something over your life you don’t have to necessarily receive it. You hear people in church say oh, I received that brother when it’s something good or positive. So you can attest to that, but there’s something called return to sender where it’s if somebody wishes something bad upon you, you can [00:43:00] do a return to sender.

And I don’t, I’m not saying I’m recommending doing it, I’m just saying that it’s something that exists anyways, during this time when I thought somebody was doing this death magic, because I’d get these readings that would say, now I did call spiritualists too. Like I would actually call I only did it a few times and I don’t do it anymore and I don’t recommend anybody doing it because you’re opening up a demonic realm when you’re doing this.

But I was determined to find out what the heck was going on because I was getting all this weird activity, this spiritual demonic activity going on. And so it was like your your ex is with wishing death magic upon you, this and that. So I call a return to sender ’cause I’m, at this time I was having some type of physical it [00:44:00] felt like I was, it felt like I was dying.

To this day, I still don’t know what it is, but something was eating me from the inside. And I even have video of when I was dealing with it. And I have a few friends that were there while I was going through it. I think it was a spiritual manifestation at, that was, that I was dealing with.

But I was desperate for relief. And so I was like, return to sender. I was convinced that my ex was a part of a cult and she was. Doing the, this divination and doing death magic to me. So I do, I say return to sender, and then a few weeks later I find out my ex in real life tried to kill herself and shot herself in the head, which she did shoot herself in the head, [00:45:00] yet she survived.

So then I break down and I’m thinking that the divination, the spell that I said, return to sender, got sent to her from me. I’m in the lowest of lows and praying to God and asking God that this would not be and I. Stop looking at the reels, stop the divination, reading the di, the readings and all that.

Repent, begged on fasted for three days straight from, didn’t eat or drink anything. And,

and then at that point, God started to work and change the outcome. I thought I was going to hell from [00:46:00] all this that, that I was experiencing. I was still trying to put away the alcohol and, the drugs from my daily lifestyle because I was so wrapped up in it all and could not get free from it.

And yeah, such a bizarre story like. So come to find out, the inheritance that was stolen from me who died was Christ. He died for us and we have an inheritance from him. Not just monetary, but it’s a spiritual inheritance. And those things that we put in our body can actually steal your godly inheritance.

So I thought I’m not going to let alcohol take me to hell. I’m not going to let [00:47:00] crystal meth or marijuana or tobacco. The biggest, one of the biggest ones that I fought during this time was the spirit of Jezebel. And the way I identified it was also through the Holy Spirit because. It would be something where it’s, and it’s hard to explain to the viewers, but just follow me the best you can.

On your what is that app called?

WhatsApp. It’s called WhatsApp. You can have like your favorites list and it’ll show the names of whoever’s on your favorite list. These reels that would pop up from my four year page would, it would be these, tarot card readers that would say the person who is your ex.

That, that is s stealing your inheritance [00:48:00] starts with these initials and it would show. It would be a J And I’m like, I don’t know anybody. J And I’ve read in the book of Revelation how the spirit, how Jezebel is a big part of the end days. And we’ll go, I’ll can go more into detail later, but man, if we just can say no to porn and decide to abstain you’re literally defeating that spirit of Jezebel.

And it’s in men and women. It can affect men and women. It can change your life and you can be free from being a slave to that. I believe a lot of sickness and health problems that people have are due to. These spirits that they’re letting into their life and not [00:49:00] knowing it. So anyways,

God has gotten me on this journey where, through these reels, he showed me how I’m letting these false gods into my life. He’s shown, he showed me and identified them, and once I put them away from me, it’s amazing. You, I’ll go on the reels and the reels will say, you’re doing good. You’re on the right path.

You, you defeated, these obstacles. You’re not listening to these. And they, it’s just crazy how they identified it as fake friends, fake family members, and in the spiritual realm, that’s how I’ve experienced and. Witness that, we can treat alcohol as a friend or as a family member or as a very close friend or like a brother.

[00:50:00] And abstaining from doing that is going, it can free you. But, so God has brought me through all of that to the point where now I’m free from it all and I wouldn’t have been able to get free from it. So now that brings me to what God has allowed me to go through Now, what I’ve been able to overcome these addictions and the spiritual warfare in such a short amount of time could only be God.

And even though it was done through. It was revealed through these, this, wicked divinations and tarot card readers and stuff like that. Even though it was revealed in that manner, [00:51:00] it opened my eyes to how dark the spiritual realm is and how real it is, and how to avoid touching or doing any of those things ever again.

And now I’m, I’m completely clean and sober since actually January 5th. Won’t, I haven’t touched alcohol or no drugs. And it’s going to stay that way. But now God’s got me to a place where now I, I want to help other people who. Are dealing with that porn addiction or that smoking addiction or that alcohol or drug addiction that they cannot seem to shake.

And I’m proposing I’m coming up with a nonprofit that, that is [00:52:00] going to be social media based, that is going to be a tool for people to get help, to get clean, to stay clean, get support through doing so. And also provide resources like maybe they need, maybe they’re, homeless and they need to get off the street.

They need housing. It’ll provide a way for them to get housing to stay connected with a sober living ho home. But more importantly, just. A support system that they can go to at any time. And it, this I’d like to call it Facebook. I know it’s a, sounds funny, a ripoff of Facebook, but that’s what I want to it, to embody is I just a hub for people to go to that need help.

And I think everybody needs help in some area or another, or maybe they think that they don’t need any help and that in [00:53:00] itself is probably a good sign that they do need help.

David Pasqualone: Yeah, absolutely. And there’s a lot to unpack and to cover in your story.

Adam Dimick: Yeah.

David Pasqualone: So let me ask you and talk to the audience a little bit.

Adam Dimick: Yeah.

David Pasqualone: Anytime people in America, especially within the church. Talk about demons or possessions or the things that we do every day, that people do every day, even within the church. When you bring up that, Hey, that’s a cult, it’s demonic. It can control you. A lot of people laugh it off.

Adam Dimick: Yeah.

David Pasqualone: And the people who worship Satan, they know it’s true.

They know it’s real. In the Old Testament, in the New Testament, Jesus talks about demons. And demon activity all the time. But yet even pastors and people in quote unquote strong churches today, which if you read Revelation, we got a real [00:54:00] problem coming. You know what I mean? Yes. Churches get weaker and weaker.

They don’t believe this is real. ’cause they live in their little, no modesty men or women drinking, $37 lattes and showing up in their fine jewelry and cars and makeup. And it’s really a social gathering to make them feel good. They don’t cuss, they don’t swear, they don’t act out in public.

But behind the scenes they’re filthy beasts. Yep. And they think that’s okay. So I want to address this stuff to the listeners all over the world, but some of the things you pointed out, like we talk about when we trust Christ as our Savior and he saves us from an eternity in the lake of fire to an eternity with God, then we get the Holy Ghost.

And a lot of people refer as the Holy Spirit.

Adam Dimick: Yeah.

David Pasqualone: So that is the Spirit, the God.

But just like we’re referring to as holy without sin. And that’s capital S. That is the Holy Ghost. There are a lot [00:55:00] of unholy. Spirits.

Adam Dimick: Yes.

David Pasqualone: And when Satan fell, a third of the angels fell with him. And the only thing between an angel and a demon, the difference is a choice.

The ones that two thirds that stayed loyal and are wise and followed, God, those are angels. But then a third of them are demons. And the worst of the worst are chained up, which people don’t even understand that. And Satan doesn’t live in hell. He walks the earth. But what you need to understand, listeners, is all of this, what Adam’s talking about, especially behavior, is warned in the Bible.

You’re flirting with disaster, with Ouija boards and tarot cards and horror movies and all of these things. Open the doors. And Adam, the Bible says all things work together for good. To, to them that love God who are called according to his [00:56:00] purpose. So I think honestly, listening to your story, you flirted with so many dangerous things and got involved in so many dangerous things.

Yeah. But thankfully we’re here today and that’s ’cause of God’s grace. And what’s funny is even tools that Satan uses daily to bring down the masses, like Facebook and all of these tools, listen to everything we’re saying. If that phone has power, even if it’s off, it can be listening to you now. That’s why Apple stopped giving you batteries.

Remember even 10 years ago, you take your battery in and outta your phone. They want phones that constantly are on even when you shut ’em off. So what was happening in reality is AI’s listening and feeding you. Information based on the algorithms that’s, quote unquote the man side. But then there’s this huge spiritual side where whether it’s saying, trying to deceive you or it’s God talking to you, that [00:57:00] is a whole different conversation.

Yeah. But what it sounds like was happening is even though Satan was trying to bring you down this road, God somehow helped you through it. Yeah. And that’s Remarkable. That’s exactly what

Adam Dimick: happened.

David Pasqualone: Yep. Yes. So it was, I just hope people realize that the majority of times you flirt with this stuff, you don’t get free.

And that’s why you tell your kids and that’s why we tell each other, don’t even get involved. And going to the grocery store to this day, a lot of times you ever see like a grocery store and they have an alcohol store.

Adam Dimick: Yep. It says Spirits and wine.

David Pasqualone: Wine and spirits. I remember as a kid, I grew up very poor by American standards and I remember having alcoholics and drug addicts all around me, and I remember the package store said, wine and spirits.

So as a kid, even though I didn’t grow up, let’s say a quote unquote Christian [00:58:00] home, I always believed if you drink tequila, you’re inviting tequila in you, the spirit of tequila. If you drink bourbon, you’re inviting the spirit of bourbon in you. And people think that’s crazy, but it’s not because again, the people who straight up worship saying in the occult, they know this as truth and they want to apply it and make us believe it’s safe.

So thank you for sharing all this because again, all of us have strengths, all of us have weaknesses, and thank you for sharing your journey. But I want people to realize that, you can say, oh Adam has these problems. I don’t have those problems. Yeah. But you could, and what may not affect you could greatly affect your children or those you love or grandchildren.

And what you’re talking about, the occult and divination and tarot cards and fortune telling, that’s all a hundred percent Old Testament and new do not get involved in that. Yes. Everywhere in the Bible.

Adam Dimick: Yep.

David Pasqualone: So that’s why you gotta be real careful and it talks about seducing spirits, talks about [00:59:00] spirits that sound good or it sounds great, but the end thereof is death.

Adam Dimick: Yeah.

David Pasqualone: So your story is very interesting and there’s so much to it, but listening sorry For our listeners, whether they’re struggling with addiction of any sort, it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter if you’re addicted to food or porn or meth, it’s all the same. Something is controlling you or you’re medicating the pain.

Yep. So if you were to give a summary 1, 2, 3. Or, at least try this work for me. Here’s a catalyst to help start you. What would you say to somebody, where are the steps to freedom?

Adam Dimick: The steps to freedom are a, I’ll do A, B, C, A.

David Pasqualone: All right.

Adam Dimick: Let’s do A is a choice to not believe what the enemy is whispering in your ear, which is, you’re not going to be [01:00:00] happy if you let this alcohol go.

You’re not going to be ever, you’re not going to ever really be able to cope with life. If you don’t take this medication anymore, the enemy’s going to whisper, discouraging. Thoughts and they can also be thoughts that enter into your, or they could even just be your thoughts. But if it’s contrary to what God says in his word, that’s why the Bible says to bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

And

David Pasqualone: and hold on, I want to stop there. ’cause again, that’s something else that Christians get way wrong. And it’s lies. I really believe that saying is patient in a lot of areas and he is woven so much occult, so much paganism, so much lies within our church that the average fricking person in a pew honestly doesn’t even know what truth is anymore.

So based on the Bible, I know the account where after Jesus, fasted, he was tempted by Satan. [01:01:00]

Adam Dimick: Yep.

David Pasqualone: And one of the verses, one of the passages that’s in the gospels talks about how in a moment’s time Satan showed Jesus, all the nations of the world.

Adam Dimick: Yep.

David Pasqualone: And said, these can be yours. And Jesus quoted scripture out loud and rebuked him.

Right?

Adam Dimick: Yep.

David Pasqualone: Every time saying spoke the lie, which you were talking about, God came back with truth. Scripture. Yes. But in the moment’s time, he didn’t fly him around the world. I think that’s pretty clear that saying, just put the thoughts in his head, and if saying can put thoughts in Jesus’s head, he can certainly put thoughts in ours, but it’s how we respond to it.

So you talking about the first steps of choice, you can choose to believe the lie or you can choose to believe the truth. So I think that’s a great first step. Yeah. Where do you go from there?

Adam Dimick: Yeah, I think that, I personally believe that the majority of our thoughts are going to be inclined [01:02:00] to negative, discouraging, stressful, doubtful, anxiety.

Especially if you’ve dealt or delved into, addictions substances because they all have a spirit attached to ’em. And there’s lingering spirits that, unclean spirits that can hinder you if you’re allowing them and giving them a foothold in your life. So the, so I would say B, so A is try the spirits, discern spirits, bring it into captivity, and then b

res let your spirit respond in the way of what God’s word says about you. Don’t respond in saying, but I’m, but I’m depressed, God. I’m depressed. Power of life and is the power of life and death is in the tongue. So if you keep telling, saying. I’m depressed, [01:03:00] God, but I’m just depressed. But I’m depressed.

He never said you were depressed in his word. He never said that. He said, the joy of the Lord is his strength. And he said everything about promise. Everything is yes. The promises of God are yes and amen. He wants us to have life and life abundantly. Taking, I would say B is taking God’s promises and speaking them into exist, speaking them out because God wants us to have.

And it takes faith to believe that you have to believe by faith that God died for our sins, and that’s how salvation occurs. Same way with the promises of God and all the forefathers in the Old Testament, Abraham, they walked into the promises of God by faith. And so you have to have faith to believe that God is, and that he is a rewarder of them [01:04:00] that diligently seek him.

So keeping your focus on Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of your faith. I could go on and on, but, and then here’s the tough one. See, you gotta resist temptation. You got to try and resist the devil. Submit yourselves, therefore, to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. If you got, let’s, I keep bringing up alcohol because that’s one of the most common substances that is legal.

It’s a there’s spirits socially

David Pasqualone: acceptable, even within the church.

Adam Dimick: It’s scary. It’s this real thing and. I’m not going to lie, I like, I still get tempted when I go out and play pool. I’ll see people every, it’s so socially accepted. I fight and yet God is calling me to abstain because he has a [01:05:00] bigger plan for me that does not include alcohol, which he’s going to reveal in his timing.

But that doesn’t mean to say that I don’t still get tempted with it. Of course, I get tempted with it, but I resist it steadfast and God provides a way of escape. But if you look at, if you look at it as letting these spirits into your body that are contrary to the spirit of God, God doesn’t want to be in a temp.

Are you going to bring alcohol into church on Sunday? No. Why are you going to allow alcohol into your body when the Holy Spirit is in that temple? So even much more. I, according to God, it would then, it would be more acceptable to bring alcohol into church than it would be to put it in our body. This is the temple of the living of the Holy Spirit is our bodies.

[01:06:00] So that’s why I think God takes it very serious and he’s jealous God. He doesn’t want to be, he doesn’t want to share us with any of these spirits. And I’m just grateful and thankful that he did allow me to go through what I did, to put a rid and put an end to letting these spirits into my life, into my body to affect me, and not just your health.

It’s affecting your destiny. It’s putting delays and stops onto peace, joy. Love, all the fruits of the spirit that God wants us to experience are being hindered by us allowing these spirits into our life and not to even mention financial prosperity, I can definitely attest to every time I remember where I relapsed on drugs, every time I relapsed, something bad happened financially or like [01:07:00] circumstantially.

It was like, oh you got evicted. It would just come out of nowhere. But praise Jesus that he is got me where I’m right now, and I made it through all that the divination experience. But I think he, I believe that he brought me through that because he was, he’s teaching me. He’s going to use it as a platform in the future to be able to understand how to attack the enemy where it hurts.

And the thing is that it is a secret cult of these substances that exists because you can’t see, there’s not a whole bunch of people dressed, dressing up in hoods, meeting in a basement, doing these chants and rituals. No this secret cult, the secret covenant coven, is affecting every household, whether [01:08:00] it’s alcohol, drugs, if it’s not that, it’s the spirit of Jezebel.

She’s very wicked. And she’s all through the through revelation, she’s considered the heart. The great Harlett and next to her, they, it talks about the beast, which is Satan. So they go hand in hand together. And even King David was brought down in that moment of weakness of the flesh with Bathsheba.

So that spirit of Jezebel is a real thing. And it exists also in the churches, as does alcohol. Sexual activity in the church is rampant. And it’s a sad situation. But I think that if we can look at what it is, these sins as what they are, and look at them as the enemy and as Satan’s devices, and that we only need one spirit, we only need the Holy Spirit.

That’s the only spirit [01:09:00] we need to be involved with. And it took me a lifetime to figure that out.

David Pasqualone: Yeah. No, and it’s good you did, and hopefully you can continue to help others. And again, there are things that, so for instance, alcohol.

Adam Dimick: Yeah,

David Pasqualone: there’s alcohol, there’s wine, there’s new wine. The bell talks about strong drink.

Adam Dimick: Strong drink.

David Pasqualone: It talks about wisdom and abstaining from it.

Adam Dimick: Yep.

David Pasqualone: But, and there’s some passages where it says, give a little wine for thy stomach’s sake, when someone’s stick. Sure. So again, I’m not saying that alcohol is a hundred percent wrong and sin but what I am saying for kings, for pastors, for leaders.

It says, do not do it because it Correct perverts your judgment. But if for a leader it’s not good, and the Bible says again, cover to cover, it’s not good. And you have great men who in the Bible got [01:10:00] drunk and had very horrible moments and decisions. Yep. And they ruin lives for generations to come. It’s just wise to stay away, in my opinion.

But again, a lot of people, I had a friend, I remember years ago, he was just like, their alcohol doesn’t affect me. Alcohol doesn’t affect me. Alcohol’s fine. And two years later I moved and talked to the guy and he ends up, he got drunk one night, raped his own wife, like forced her to have sex and it almost ruined their marriage.

And they separated for a while. They were about to get divorced, they got back together. So just saving tricks us to believe lies, I’m sure, I believe lies. I know our listeners believe lies, but that’s why we should be in our Bible every day. Reading and praying and looking in the face of God.

We can absorb as much as a man being human as possible. And so we can write, study to show thyself approved. Eth not to be. Shame rightly dividing the word of truth. [01:11:00] Yes. And again, if somebody wants to do something, there’s judgment. Good judgment. In the Bible, there’s judgment in the Bible.

And if someone’s drinking and you’re my buddy Adam, I might say, Hey man, especially in your case, you think that’s wise. That’s again, between you and God, but we know you have an absolute issue with this. So as a friend, for you and anybody else like you, or for me, it’s Dave, this is an issue of your life.

You shouldn’t be doing it. That’s good judgment. That’s being a good friend. Another lie that Satan puts in our church is, oh, don’t tell people how to live, dude. You need to read your Bible. There’s a book of judges, there’s a whole list of commandments, and it says to judge our brother. So you take one scripture outta context and twist it.

You’re going to be in bad shape when you see God. You might have 10,000 friends on Facebook and in church, but that doesn’t make God happy. All right Adam. So where are you today? [01:12:00] Where are you headed next? How can our listeners reach out to you?

Adam Dimick: Yeah. One thing, one last thing I’ll say is that, during this if you have something that you’re struggling with, whether it’s porn, addiction, alcoholism marijuana or even just pills or eating you’re going to, throughout the day, you’re going to get these nudges from Satan from, and it doesn’t even necessarily have to be Satan or the devil.

It’s these spirits, these thoughts that come into your head that, oh, I want to eat right now. You just ate 30 minutes ago. You don’t need to eat again. Or, oh, you get that urge to have that drink when you know, you just told God that you would stop and that you would put it up. What do you do in that free time in.

Force yourself to [01:13:00] read your Bible. That’s my advice. Open the Bible, pray, open the Bible and give God a chance. Now, I’m all my downtime. I just am in my word and he’s speaking to me. I love going in the Old Testament because it’s, it, there’s so much depth to it and it’s like the meat and potatoes. I love the New Testament, don’t get me wrong, gone over it so many times and have a lot of it memorized.

But Old Testament, you’re going to see how God is very serious about letting these false gods and these idols have a place in your life. So it get in your Old Testament, read your Bible, and God’s going to give you the strength and power and faith to overcome these. These devices, wicked devices, we’ll call ’em.

But and

David Pasqualone: I believe do it out loud. I a hundred percent believe if [01:14:00] you have a sin that you’re struggling with or a temp temptation before it turns into sin, just like Jesus, you quote the scripture out loud and

Adam Dimick: yes,

David Pasqualone: get be behind me saying, get outta here. And a lot of times it is your environment. If you’re hanging out and people playing pool, I’m not saying that, okay, there’s anything wrong with that.

But if, while they’re playing pool, they’re smoking, they’re drinking, there’s cheap women around, loose women. Not cheap. Forgive me. Loose women around fricking loose men today. It is just sick, man. You, yeah. You gotta protect yourself. Buy a pool table, put it in your garage if you like, bill.

Adam Dimick: That’s what I did. Yeah, that’s what I did. But so yeah where I’m at right now I’ve been a professional dog trainer for 22 years. I still do that, but God has got me. A place where I’ve known that I was called to ministry even probably around 18, 19, 20 years old after I first got saved.

But now I’m 41. [01:15:00] So it’s one of those stories of Moses where it’s like after 40 years old, then God starts his ministry. But it’s okay because, now I know what I know and I can’t unknow everything. But as far as where I’m going, I’m starting that nonprofit.

David Pasqualone: And we’ll put a link in the show notes if anybody wants to check it out or donate.

Adam Dimick: Yep. And I looked it up, but yeah, the donations to, for the first I need $2,500 to. Start, it’s 5,000 total for the 5 0 1 C3. 2,500 gets me started, and then I can pay the other 2,500 in the next month. But once I get the 5 0 1 C3, then when people donate, it will all be tax writeable to write off.

But the first 2,500 is going to be not able to write off anyways. Yeah, it’ll be I can accept through Venmo Cash app or [01:16:00] PayPal apple Pay. But yeah, so I’m meeting with them in 10 days to try to give them the first payment and get this 5 0 1 C3 going and. If for any listeners who is interested in this, like I said, it’s going to be a social media platform that’s going to contain different sectors.

One of which is going to be something called righteous reels, where it’ll be reels that are Christ focused exalting Christ, focusing on him, encouraging people who are going through stuff or who just need some scripture. It’ll be scripture reading. And then it’s going to be another sector that’s going to be people who need help, whether it’s with addictions or programs to help people get clean, stay clean.

Maybe they need housing, maybe they need help with food, connecting them to churches, to support groups, bible [01:17:00] studies, anything that is. Believer base where they need help. They need to get support because when I was going through my journey and I needed just, even just somebody, a brother to talk to, to share with, instead of sharing in a big group, it would’ve been great to have somebody like you, Dave.

Thankfully God brought us together and we can do that now. But at the time when I was in need, I didn’t have anything like that. So people who are ashamed to come out and say, Hey, I’m addicted to porn. I’m addicted to going and buying prostitutes. I’m addicted to going and buying dope. And my family members don’t even know I’m, buying these drugs on the street, and I’m ashamed.

I don’t, I can’t get help. I don’t know what to do. They’re, a lot of people are in darkness about all this. So this will hopefully be a way for them to come out of that and for God to, help them through this program. And ultimately this social media platform is nothing to [01:18:00] replace what Christ is in somebody’s life.

This is just a tool to help bring people to Christ and to strengthen their current relationship with him if they don’t already know him. So my goal is to help drive people back to their first love and not it be a replacement for that, if that makes sense.

David Pasqualone: Yeah, a hundred percent. And one more thing.

We talked about addiction a lot.

Adam Dimick: Yeah,

David Pasqualone: people can be in sin because they’re medicating, but they’re not really an addict. Yes. I’m so sick of hearing people. I really think they do it just to feel good about themselves. It’s really a pious indignant attitude. Oh, they have so many problems, but look how awesome I am.

I hope, pray for their heart. That you got these people who are truly, they have the outside to say they’re, yes, the audacity to say they’re a Christian, but their personal life, they’re the biggest sinners there are. So just [01:19:00] because you drink, just because you do drugs, that doesn’t mean you’re an addict.

That’s like saying somebody’s an addict for gambling and they’re winning. You don’t find a lot of people up front who are winning gambling that say they’re an addict, but you can be. Or you could be drinking or gambling or looking at porn because you’re medicating pain. And as soon as you address that issue, it goes away.

There’s a real difference between sin and addiction. Yeah. But again, with a good counselor, the Bible, the Holy Ghost is the best counselor. But when you get a good biblically based counselor who uses the Bible as their standard, they’ll navigate you through that. But

Adam Dimick: yes,

David Pasqualone: you can have a problem that goes away like that as soon as you trust Christ.

There’s a lot of problems that as soon as you admit it’s there and you admit I have a problem it can go away. ‘Cause you’re trusting for Christ, for the strength to overcome it, or you address, you got, for a lot of people, they [01:20:00] get molested as a child, men or women, and then they don’t deal with it.

So they become a drug addict. But when they actually face it, it goes away forever. So I just hearing on the show and in life, I’m 49, so many people, they just say, that person’s going to drink a problem. They’re an addict, they’re medicating with alcohol. Yeah. But they may not even be an addict. So I hate when people throw that label around, especially when they look down on people for it.

It’s just it’s very frustrating.

Adam Dimick: Yeah. And I think it’s sad because if they were to see how Christ views, like for example, I go to a group, it’s called Most Excellent Way, and it’s for, men that are clean. You, you can go to it if you’re, even if you’re still trying to stay clean or not clean.

But there’s guys in there that appear to be. Addicts because they’ve lived a whole life of drug addiction and they can barely talk straight [01:21:00] because the drugs have messed up their life so bad. But but they’ve been clean for

David Pasqualone: years. Yeah.

Adam Dimick: But they’re clean for this one guy was like clean for 30 some years and he still talks the same way as if he was still on it.

And it’s sad that people look at those other people as, oh, once an addict, always an addict. Like you’re just still low life addict. But if we looked at them the way Christ sees them as forgiven, redeemed, cleansed and whole, it would convict us to start treating the people better.

David Pasqualone: Yeah. And a lot of times they have the courage to talk about it, to open up, to be vulnerable, to be humble, and then they’re crucified for what they’re going through.

It’s, we got a backward system. Yes. That’s why when you go to Christ, it’s always the right system. The perfect balance. Yep. The perfect order. And for myself, for Adam, for you, for everybody listening that’s going to get forwarded to the [01:22:00] solution is Christ. Yes. There’s no other solution for whosoever shall call upon any Lord shall be saved.

So that’s a promise. But all of us saying has two objectives. Keep you from trusting Christ and being saved. ’cause misery loves company and he wants to be, he knows he’s going to the lake of fire and he wants you to go there too and suffer. And then once you have trusted Christ, he wants to destroy your reputation to, to destroy you, to sift you like wheat.

So you can’t tell other people about God. So Shane’s a piece of crap. He’s a liar. He’s trash and he has his time on this earth, but it’s not going to be much longer and he’s coming home. So for all of us, Adam, you, me included, we got a short life on average, 70, 80 years after that. It’s eternity. So like a fire or beautiful life with God in Christ.

Yeah. And the Holy Ghost. And then also, there’s levels of reward. Are you going to be a Christian? You’ve trusted Christ, you put your [01:23:00] faith in him, and then do nothing with your life. You’re going to have a pack of sand, and I don’t know, everybody has a mansion in heaven. But there, the Bible does talk about other passages have those levels of rewards and the crowns we get and how we give them back to Christ.

So again, there’s, read your Bible. Don’t just listen to somebody for 45 minutes on Sunday, and especially in today’s churches, 35 minutes of it singing. Yeah, you repeat the seven 11 songs, say seven phrases, 11 times, and you quote unquote worship again, read your Bible. That’s not what worship is. Yeah.

So sorry I to on a tangent, but I’m really discouraged in a lot of churches today. It’s really hard to find a place that loves God and loves people and those are the two greatest commandments.

Adam Dimick: Yeah, I agree. I think that too many churches try to present what they want. People like this perfect picture of promoting what they’re about and they’re [01:24:00] trying so hard to convince believers what they are and what they want to be about and this and that instead of just doing it.

And yeah, we can start with our own individual relationship with Christ. I think the best time with God is spent in the quiet times in your prayer closets sitting on your bed. Opening up your Bible like before the day even starts, before you even drink coffee. If you drink coffee. And just spend time with him one-on-one, listening to him reading what he is and his word.

And I like the morning, noon and night personally. ’cause that’s what Daniel did, and it was like, and David wrote about it as well, morning, noon, and night. And the noon one doesn’t have to be long, but first thing in the morning give your first fruits to God, seek you first, the kingdom of right of heaven, and all these things will [01:25:00] be added to you.

And right before you go to sleep, it’s just funny how God. Did what allowed what has happened in my life, the way it has happened. Because I don’t think anything else would’ve stuck.

David Pasqualone: Yeah.

Adam Dimick: Because of just the, it’s yeah, people know that they’re saved, they know that they’re redeemed, but why?

But they still have this thing that they’re, that they can’t kick. And they’ve prayed and they’ve asked God, and they’re just hitting a wall. And I now can say, God has allowed me to be truly free of these unclean spirits. When I look at them as spirits, it’s a lot easier to stay away from them.

David Pasqualone: Oh yeah.

And it talks about all of the Bible, how it’s the unseen things. A lot of times, probably nine outta 10 things that happen to us are not seen. [01:26:00] It’s the invisible things and there are spirits, seducing spirits, or evil spirits. There’s all types of spirits. So that’s something we need to all pray about.

But Adam, it’s been great having you on the show today. If someone wants to connect with you, what’s the best way for them to reach out?

Adam Dimick: Yeah, they can reach they can reach me at my email Adam Dimick eight, that’s A-D-A-M-D-I-M-I-C k8@gmail.com. They can call me. My phone number is (850) 368-2019.
